Stayed for one week at this very comfortable well run hotel. Good value for money. Food OK to good - shame about the vegetables. But hotel clean - comfortable and well run. Rooms lovely with great bathroom. Most staff very helpful and happy - just one or two of the male barmen a bit miserable. All in all I would recommend this hotel. Sage reps great.

This hotel, although rated a 3* is probably deserving of a higher rating. I only stayed for a long weekend, visiting my mum, who was there on a long term stay with Saga but my mum, who was there for 5 weeks absolutely loved it.

The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and welcoming and the food (buffet style) is very varied and tasty. I defy anyone to not find something they will enjoy. There is entertainment (or sorts!) every evening and although I did not go into "town", other guests told me that there are lots of nice bars and restaurants there.

There is an outside pool, which in February is only for the very brave! Also a very small indoor pool and Jacuzzi, but the terrace and pool area are very pleasant to sit in and there was always lots of space.

The main clientelle are Saga people and Spannish families (mainly at the weekend), so don't expect to be raving ;-) but if you want a very friendly atmosphere and like meeting older people this is the place.

The only downside (and this is the Resort generally), is the transfer time from Alicante, which by taxi is a hefty 120 euros, but if you come on a package, that will not be a problem.

I booked with SAGA after reviewing their Brochure and Tripadvisor reviews. On arriving in Denia, the sighting of the Hotel immediately gave a good impression - very new, bright and clean in appearance. Close to the sea (one road to cross then 2 minute walk) A nice walk along the breakwater to admire the yachts and incoming ferries.

The Bar, Reception area and Dining area overlooked a very clean pool and sunlounger area. The Bedrooms were very clean and cared for every day. Rooms with balconies gave a view of the sunrise and the mediterranean. The rooms on the otherside overlooked what was a relatively quiet road. We stayed on the top (seventh) floor and had a wonderful view. Three lifts serviced all floors. Entertainment was mainly an electronic organ on most nights with some special entertainment (Flamenco) on other evenings. Entertainment could be better if you desire that sort of thing.

The food is self service and with a wide selection. We are particular about our food and found over the seven days that we had a great choice and nothing to complain about at all. I should say that we have travelled very little so our experience of food is limited but our friends (well travelled) also found the food very acceptable as was the service.

A 30 minute walk will take you into Denia or local bus will do the same. The hotel is probably the highest building in the port - Denia is unspoilt and not like the more established resorts (Benidorm) further south.

If you are particular about the guests sharing the hotel with you you may be disappointed in the general age group. While we are in our sixties we could well have been among the younger element. There are facilities for children(Pool, swings, indoor pool) but in general the older persons make up most of the clientele.

In October the weather was 78 degrees most days - one day with thunder and rain.

This hotel is one for relaxing and enjoying peace and quiet and visiting local villages. A good 3* in my opinion.

You simply cannot complain about this hotel at the price. It is comfortable and clean, the rooms are in very good order, the food is OK, and service is fine. We booked via the hotel chain web site (Ona Sol Hotels) for a good deal. The hotel did cater largely for Saga, and many of the guests were rather older than is usual for Saga (or so we were told). However, don't let that put you off.
