“Best tapas in Denia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Well worth trying this little restaurant but book early.
Excellent lunchtime tapas (olives to die for), house speciality, aubergine with goats cheese, was excellent and the pork dish with couscous superb. We went will an open mind, willing to try anything. What we received was freshly made & interesting tapas. Service excellent, price for two including 4 glasses of wine, 5 beers and 5 wonderful tapas a very reasonable €51.

Look forward to returning.

“One nice place to expend a nice evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

A cute small restaurant with a strongly creative tapas menu. The people serving you are friendly and the price is affordable for the quality of the food. Wines are also excellent in a short selection. Strongly recommendable. Just make a reservation 15 days before going to the baret. Otherwise you won't find a free place.

“the best food ever”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

fantastic food for a low price. If you are interested in very delicious Spanisch food and do not mind that the accomodation is not luxureous then this is the place to be. Be sure that you make a reservation otherwise the restaurant will be full. The nice people complete a lovely evening.
for sure we will be back.

“Imagination and creativeness = sublime food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

After earning a Michelin star in Moraira and working at one of Denia's best restaurants, Miquel decided to "go it on his own" without the celebrity pressures! He has achieved this, creating what he wants with seasonal produce, in the simple, but eclectic, quirky & homely restaurant he and his family now run in the old part of Denia. El Baret de Miquel Ruiz is a culinary experience... every day is a surprise at what can be presented at your table. Local produce based on traditional recipes but with that uniquely creative & imaginative touch that is Miquel's trademark. Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary there with friends ! Reasonably priced for the excellent quality provided. Most dishes can be shared and the wine list is short but impressive. Highly recommendable ... but book in advance as the restaurant is small.

“Best food ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013 via mobile

I highly recommend this place, not fancy but the best food I ever had. The food is very creative with a twist in spanish traditional foods. You will not find a fancy place but you will find fancy food.
