The salad bar had the usual mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, etc. and a nice selection of salad dressings. I had the blue cheese, and it was very good. An extra touch was the big bowl of blue cheese crumbles that could be added for even more flavor. Everything was fresh, but there were no unusual items for the adventurous to try.The shrimps at the salad bar are large and tasty, but several were not deveined. The beef selection at the carving station was a dismal pot roast cooked well done, and dry. After reading other reviews, it seems the entree changes regularly. There is a prime rib special on Sundays, which is good. A companion mentoned they sometimes have good pork loin. Other selections during my visit included a tender chicken breast with salsa and black beans. It was delicious. A rockfish and rice dish was dry and the fish flavor was unpleasantly strong and "fishy" tasting.Next to it was a lovely shrimp and garlic pasta with loads of cheese and greens. A cheesy crumb-topped mac and cheese rounded out the entree selections. Vegetables included steamed carrots, and tender asparagus spears. Dinner breads were packaged, and desert tray had a large assortment of cakes, cheesecake and petit fours, but none seemed homemade either. I appreciated that it was easy to eat low-carb at this buffet, while my pasta-loving companion wished there had been more carb selections. At $13 for dinner, it is an average value. Non-alcoholic beverage is included with your meal. The room is well lit, and easily accessible for those using assistive devices. There are tables and chairs, no booths. Servers were pleasant and helpful, with the exception of the carving station server, who disappeared to talk to a friend just as I reached his station. If you are going to eat at one of Cliff Castle's restaurants, this one is probably the best value, but Storytellers has a better (and pricier)selection
