The worst thing about this hotel is the staff. They are not good at what they do - whether you are checking in (long wait) or eating in the coffee shop at the hotel. I was amazed that the waitress actually seemed annoyed that she had to take our order. Curious. Rooms are average and reek of smoke. Sad to see such terrible service.

We stayed there one night on our way to Sedona. While the room itself was adequate, modestly-priced and clean, everything else about our stay was awful:(1) The check-in clerk was inept and could not locate our online reservation...even when handed the reservation printout, she took forever to find it, and her excuse was laughable; (2) There was no elevator, so we had to lug some heavy bags up the stairs; and (3) We left a cosmetic bag in the room when we checked out. When we called to try to track it down, they were incredibly uncooperative and seemed completely uninterested in trying to locate it. Since it had been left on the door to the bathroom, it must have been pinched by the staff.
On the positive side, the restaurant in the casino was good and the gaming itself not so bad for a non-Vegas casino. If you want to play, go early, as it was smoked out by 11 am.

The place was fine for the price, but don't expect too much. The outdoor hot tub was cold, which was quite annoying. Probably won't go back.

Stayed here for 2 nights after the Grand Canyon and found it to be alright. Room walls are very thin and we could smell the smoke from the next non-smoking room! The main door to room was at least a 1/2 inch higher than the floor - I kept on worrying about bugs coming into the room. The room was nice and the ammenities were on par with other hotels. Ate at the hotel restaurant - The Gathering several times and the breakfast and lunch were good. Easter Brunch was ok. We used the pool and jacuzzi - nice. Shuttle bus - very conveniant. Across the street had some of the best Indian bread I ever had. Location is very close to Montezuma's Castle (5 minutes) and about 15 minutes from Cottonwood. Overall not a bad stay. Liked the casino and bowling there.
