It's just amazing to see the ruins and imagine how they built it, if you stop there for just a half an hour length you can see it all.

“Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Anytime I am on I17 it is a must to drop into Camp Verde and see an amazing piece of history. Montezuma's Castle makes me ponder the incredible life the primitive people must have had there in such a beautiful setting right on the river. The walk through is amazing and something that I always enjoy very much. The visitor center is very nice and full of amazing information.

“Amazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

Loved visiting this as it gives you a peek into the history of the Verde Valley. Amazing that they were able to build this in the walls of the cliff and walk up and down the cliff every day to access their home.

“Worth the short drive off I17 to see”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

Interesting ruins! As you walk, it is almost a surprise to see the ruins high up in the wall of the hill. Worth the stop & short drive off I17!

Small info center.

“Beautiful ruins in great shape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

These ruins are some of the best preserved Indian ruins in the Southwest! I was very impressed with the size and location of these ruins. The trails are very easily walked around this National Monument with picnic tables, shade structures and a nice gift shop too. Pets are welcome on a leash!
