“A Fantastic Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Struck gold with Henry and Min, excellent hosts and made us feel really at home. Prior to arrival received a couple of welcoming type emails, and one asking for our choice of menu for the evening in order fresh produce could be obtained. The evening meal was delicious my wife and l shared a Paella, after our choice of starter. Drinks were provide don the house together with friendly conversation with our hosts throughout. Our room had everything one needed including tea and coffee facilities, with a fridge that one could use for personal stuff. There is a Swimming pool in the grounds. All in all home from home. Will recommend to anyone. A really pleasant and good experience..

My return to this ideal holiday setting was better than my first visit. From the minute I arrived I relaxed enjoying the peace & quiet, sun & easy going day. Henry & Min made me so welcome. I sleep well & the food is super. It was ideally suited for visiting coastal towns & walking in the mountains. The only down side is when I have to leave! But I know I will be back. There are so many things I have yet to do & see in the locality. I feel like I have had a holiday. Thank you both so much

What a wonderful place to stay! Looking for property in the area I had initially been attracted by Casa Valentina's location and Henry's terrific photographs on their website but as soon as I arrived I knew that was no ordinary B&B. Such a warm welcome, charming room and the immediate offer of a glass of chilled white was the perfect way to end a long, hot day of looking at properties. If the hospitality had stopped there it would have been worthy of mention but then dinner was served and excellent headed towards perfection. Henry and Min's attention to detail, their ability to know when they were needed and when to leave me to enjoy the peace and quiet and to insist that nothing was too much trouble made my stay truly memorable. I will be back in the area soon and will certainly be staying here again. Just passing through or in the area for longer to enjoy the Murcian sun, the nearly beaches and attractions or just for the peace and quiet, this is the place to stay. Hospitality, friendliness, service and value at its very best. Shame on you TripAdvisor for not having a six star category!

We had the most fabulous week at Casa Valentina back in September. It shames us that we have taken so long to review on trip advisor as we regularly talk of Min and Henry and would recommend their home to anyone in an instant - and it really is a home away from home. They are such a friendly warming couple and we enjoyed several evenings in their company, but they also gave us enough space to be alone too. They are both superb cooks and in particular the homemade lemon curd was out of this world. They are very generous with their advice and time and we really felt like we were staying with family rather than strangers. The area is beautiful and there is lots to visit and loads of nice walks. It is a great area for seeing the "real Spain" apart from our hosts we hardly heard another word of English (or welsh!) during the whole week and really enjoyed the local rustic restaurants and beaches. The B&B is spotless too, amazing attention to detail, but remains homely. Would definitely recommend their additional evening meals too, we came home a lot heavier! Can't wait to go back, intact we have just been looking at flights!

From the moment we arrived we felt very comfortable. The room was very spacious and had a small terrace. We had brought our tiny Yorkie so easy access to outside. Henry and Min could not have been more helpful, offering drinks and a snack on our arrival. We had evening meals the two nights we stayed and the food was plentiful and delicious. We might add that we only live a few kilometers away, we just wanted a break and to have a spoil; we certainly got spoilt!
We would recommend a stay at Casa Valentina and it is suitable for all. There is plenty of activities to occupy children and the beaches are a short car journey away. We love Mazarron
we first found it in 1981! We have lived here permantely for 8 years are always discovering new places and of course Murcia area is the warmest place in Europe with over 300 days of sunshine each year.

Room Tip: There are 3 family rooms; all are very nice.

Superb !! Henry and Min's natural outgoing and friendly nature made our stay special and we will certainly return when in the area again. Service, facilities and food were all first class and resulted in superb value for money. The meals, prepared from local produce, were excellent and Henry and Min took time to ensure that they were cooked to our personal taste. Their knowledge of local facilities / sights was invaluable and meant that our time was spent enjoying not searching. A great example of how a B & B should be run !!!

A wonderful get away experience. Henry and Min were delightful hosts and made us very welcome. We decided to eat our evening meals at "Casa Valentina" which was a wonderful decision and made for an easy life. With a big breakfast and an evening meal to look forward to a liquid lunch down on the coast was all you could want. Wonderful stay and will recommend the Casa to all
