There are not that many really good Indian restaurants in Spain but this one really stands out - especially for a small and relatively off the beaten track place like Puerto de Mazarron. This is a place where Chinese, British meat and two veg and fairly nondescript Spanish restaurants are the norm. There are some fine exceptions and this is one. The folk who run it are Punjabis and the standards are high. Our recent meal was well cooked and authentically Indian - not just chopped meat and curry powder. The service could not be faulted. Although quiet in the winter I am sure a reservation would be advisable at busier times. As one who has spent some time in India I can guarantee that the ambience and cuisine of this restaurant were very much what I would have hoped for - a real taste of India, not ritzy or flashy, just the real thing. By the way, if you don't like it hot (Richard D) don't order it. Vindaloo is not to everyone's taste and there are plenty of other dishes on the menu to die for!
