Dutch's Daughter isn't reinventing the wheel but what they are doing is putting out consistent, fresh, delicious items (especially their seafood). My favorite dish is the dutche's platter which is fit for a king. The platter comes with a lobster tail, shrimp, scallops, crab cake and crab imperial all broiled on a piping hot skillet. The value might even be the best part. In DC this would run about 75 or 90 dollars, Dutche's runs for around 50. Not to mention the servers are quite attentive the amtosphere is more than comfortable. When I visit friends/family in Frederick I try to make sure I get to DD.
