“Great for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2008

Friscos has a great menu, written on a blackboard above the order counter. Sandwiches are huge, with lots of different and unusual combinations. I always split a sandwich with my husband, they're too big for one. We always get a small bowl of exploded potatoes to share - it's bigger than it sounds. Their exploded potatoes are really good (everyone around here has heard of them) although they are not for the calorie watcher! Their salads are ridiculously large, enough for 2 or 3 people. The nachos are very good too, enough for the entire table. It's a very casual place where you order at the counter and pay at the bar. You then have to watch the counter area (square area in the center of the room) for you meal. I've had people take my order (by accident I presume) then I've had to moan at the counter! No problems though, they just make another one.

“Horrible food.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2008

We tried this based on our neighbors recommendation.
The famous baked potatoes we got from them were basically green on the outside, and WAY over cooked with dark spots all the way thru.
My wife and i got two sandwhichs, which were sparcely populated with meat. they were not that big..
what a rip off..
We paid for it all night long with stomach aches too.. (not we didnt eat the potatoes. it was the sandwhiches..)

“casual gem in an industrial park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2007

Friscos was recommended to us by one of my wife's customers. We laughed when the above description said entrees at $20. The sandwiches/salads are about $4-$8. If you are looking for a casual sandwhich eatery where you can get a beer/wine, they are great! I recommend the "exploded" potatoes. Although NOT fancy, the atmosphere
is rather well suited to the industrial park this place is in. It is a cinderblock building with picnic tables outside and not much inside, but the food, for this type of place is excellent. The help is very pleasant, although not particularly in a hurry, and you need to figure out how to order, then pick up food, then pay at the cash register. (The procedure of whether you pay at the table or at the cash register seems to vary every time we are there, but that sort of thing doen't bother me too much). Attached to the small restaurant
is a walk-up ice cream place where you can get cheap soft ice cream, and a wine/beer store where they no wine bottle over about $10. Unadvertised Secret: On Friday's they sell all bottle wine at the case price!!! Overall, the whole place is inexpensive and great food.
They do half their business as caterers, so that speaks alot about the price/value. My only complaint is that their hours are limited!
