“Worth the out of the way drive...”

Huge portions- we usually get 3 sandwiches for 4 of us & share, & still have leftovers. Wine shop attached is an added plus. Live the exploding potatoes!

“Very cool!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Neat little deli with a lot of choices. There is a fantastic beer selection in the back part of the restaurant and the boys there are enthusiastic and helpful.

“Hidden Gem”

This is such a great lunch place in Frederick. The exploded potatoes are worth every calorie!!!!! Everything I've ever had is great! I would highly recommend this to anyone! It does get very busy at lunch time though.

“Well hidden local hangout with amazing food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Frisco's is a hidden gem in Frederick. It's tucked away in an industrial park and does little advertising, bringing in business by word of mouth and reputation alone. The food is outstanding. An overwhelming array of sandwiches as well as soups, salads and meal sized stuffed baked potatoes. Everyone will tell you to get the exploded potatoes on the side. It's a cross between a stuffed baked potatoes (with green onions and bacon) and hot potato salad. It's delicious.

The place can get very loud during a busy time because of the high ceilings and cement walls. There is also music playing, so don't go there expecting a quiet meal and conversation with your dining partner. They do have upstairs seating and outdoor seating when the weather is nice. The upstairs can be reserved for private groups but also works as overflow seating when the downstairs dining room gets full.

Frisco's does a great catering business as well. I first found out about them because my husband's employer often ordered their sandwich trays for work functions. We had a small gathering in their upstairs room for my son's birthday and everyone loved the sandwich trays.

Frisco's sells a variety of local beers and wines and boasts a wine shop next door. Every Friday they run a special where you pay only $1 above wholesale price for wine. Sadly the little ice cream shop in between the restaurant and wine shop is closing. But rumor has it that they are using that space to expand the wine shop. So, that will be nice for those who enjoy the wine.

Overall, Frisco's is a great casual place for a hearty lunch. Good for a gathering of friends. Lively atmosphere with generous portions and modest prices. Spread the word!
