“Excellent new restuarant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Brand new restaurant on Frederick's revived east side. Small plate Mediterranean inspired cuisine, similar in concept but not in selection to its sister restaurant Isabella's.
It seems that the chef was given the opportunity to create a fabulous menu and he truly succeeded as the food is wonderful. The service was also attentive without being overbearing.
I have been there three times in the last month with family and friends and have thoroughly enjoyed everything ordered. Consider the Istanbul spread sampler as it is a great appetizer. The pide's were great, and especially enjoyed the souvlaki skewer.

“Great food, great atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The ambiance and food at this restaurant are excellent. The service was fantastic. The wine list is unique and affordable! I had lunch here with friends and a big dinner party the following week here and both meals were fantastic. The small plates are great as well as the burger and fries. There is something for everyone here! The brussel sprouts are amazing!

“Ethnic Fine Dining- A Frederick First”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Despite being a dining destination- Frederick has been a cultural desert- when it comes to global cuisine. Finally, we have something to crow about - with Nezih Pistar's ode to his heritage- Ayse. With a clean renovation of the aging Danielle's and a cool vibe- the new space seems born again. For a new establishment- food came quickly and service was quick to apologize for any opening gaffs. The bar seemed spruced up, but it was the dining space that was the most striking- with an inspired and lengthy menu - with most being excellent. The dining space lighting was less inspired- too bright to feel intimate. Regardless, required dining for those near or far.
