“Serenity on a summer day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

Baker Park is a Frederick treasure, accessible from the 'old town' area; a place for picnicking, leisurely walking, beauty with the clustered spires in the background, great for a family outing and, of course, with summer concerts on summer evenings. I believe the walk around Culler Lake could actually lower your blood pressure!

“Beautiful park to take a walk!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013 via mobile

Beautiful park to walk around in. There always seems to be something going on - concerts, charity walks, softball, tennis, frisbee- even the bell tower!

“Veteran's Day In The Park waiting for the Fourth of July”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

My son and I spent some time this Veteran's Day at one of the playgrounds at Baker Park. We drove around and found one across the street from Parkway Elementary School. My son enjoyed playing on the slides, bridges, ladders, swings, and seesaw with me. Of course, after awhile we got bored and headed across the street to the school's playground for some more fun.

We also enjoyed looking at the ducks in the nearby stream. We had a good time. Parking is free, and there's plenty of it along the street or in parking spaces depending upon what section of the park you're visiting.

This is an excellent place to walk, jog, run, play tennis, or hang out all day on July 4th and catch some concerts, eat some food and watch the annual city fireworks show. There's a bell tower that plays The Star-Spangled Banner following the show (pretty neat).

“Wonderful City Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

We visited Baker Park to participate in an ALS walk and thought the place was beautiful. Very typical Frederick, surrounded by nicely kept older homes, this park was very clean and well maintained. The stream and lake are lovely. There was plent of nearby parking (we were there in the fall), but I bet it is a nice place to take in a concert or outdoor fair.
