“European style breads and desserts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2012

This is my favorite bakery! Their sourdough bread is unbelievable and I always get rave reviews when I serve their rolls. Over the years I've tried at least 20 different desserts and have never been disappointed. Great value too.

“Wide selection of breads and pastries-get your stollen now!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2011

The rustic wheat bread was beautiful and delicious. Also got an almond pastry that was filled with some great marzipan. I never forget a good bakery. Shab Row is the pace to park if there is none on the street close.

“Large selection of breads, many unusual”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2011

Stone Hearth Bakery has quite a large selection of breads, including some that you don't see every day, such as Jalapeno Anadama. Also features (very good) croissants, napoleans and danishes. Located in Shab Row, not too far from most of the hotels--and it sure is a great alternative to the dull "continental breakfast" available at the chains.

“Worth the trip...from anywhere!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2011

If you like breads and pastries that have been paid attention to by humans, and particularly pastries that aren't overly sweet, this is the place for you. They start baking at 2AM, so you know it's fresh! Highly recommend this bakery with small eat-in restaurant.

“Stumbling on a keeper”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2011

In looking for the Frederick Fairgrounds, we past this little shop. Since they do not have a website, this bakery would have not gained our attention if we had not stumble upon it. The glass cases were filled with excellence. A terrific variety of quality treats, pastries, desserts and cakes enticed all. Stone Hearth Bakery also had 8-10 different types of breads and rolls. In addition to all the great offerings, the prices were very reasonable. If you are looking for a dinner ending, lunch beginner or just some morning tasting. Look no further. Plug their address into your Garmin and head for some goodness.
