La Rebotica is only a few minutes walking distance away from the main area located behind an unassuming entrance in a small street. But what a surprise find!
Everything from the greeting, the decor, the food and the service was perfect. The restaurant decor is subtle, table settings elegant and can well imagine that this would be ideal for a romantic dinner.
To start we had Foie Relleno de Queso €14.50 to share - delicious and impeccably presented.
For mains we had Magret de Pato €16.50 and Solomillo con Foie Gras y Frutas Rojas €20.50. Perfectly cooked as ordered and beautifully presented.
We had such a good meal that we passed on desserts, although they were very tempting.
There is a very good wine list but we asked the waitress to recommend a local good Extremadura wine. She suggested Habla del Silencio an excellent crianza red wine at €18 - a very good wine and very reasonably priced.
The service was highly professional and impeccable, attentive without being intrusive.
At the end of the meal the owner/chef introduced himself to us and other diners. This lunch was fine-dining at its very best. The pricing was excellent value for such quality food and preparation and if this were in a big city we would have paid considerably more. We are delighted that we found this restaurant; it was a superb experience.
