This hotel was actually recommended from an employee at another hotel that was booked. We had driven from the Grand Canyon North Rim and were so tired by the time we made it to Barstow, CA. We could not find a hotel in this area that was not booked to save our lives. We tried one other hotel on the same street that was more expensive but it had ants in the bathroom and dresser!! We had to ask for a refund and ended up here. The girl that recommended this hotel said she had previously worked here and it was always clean. We were so pleased when we got here. It was very cheap at 39.99 and was clean and perfect for us to get a good nights rest and get up early and take off again.

This motel is ok for the price that you pay (about 40 USD) and also for the purpose - I guess no one stays at Barstow for any other reason that a stop on the way to/from Las Vegas. The room was clean which was the only thing I really expected from this motel.

“One of the better Motel 6's”

We stopped overnight here on our way back from California to Texas on May 29, 2007. We arrived at the busy hour for check-ins so that took a bit of time waiting our turn, but that was the only problem. Grounds and parking were reasonably clean and well maintained. The room was clean and well maintained...they even had the new design bedspreads...the only one we saw on the trip. The pool seemed larger than the average and was clean and the water reasonably pleasant (they alll seem a bit cold at first.) Just off Main Street (Historic Route 66). Fast food and full service restaurants, stores and service stations within a few blocks. Nothing fancy, but a bit more upscale than the average Motel 6. The motel must have had some renovations and improvements since the earlier bad reviews.

“Good Rest Stop”

We stopped for the night on our way from Vegas to San Diego. It took about 10 minutes to check-in and the girl at the desk was very pleasant. Our room was the typical Motel 6 room, there was nothing special about it. It was, however, clean and comfortable. The motel itself looked fine to me. It didn't look run down or shabby, and the pool area and grounds were clean. It's convenient to shopping centers
and restaurants. All in all, I was pleased and found it to be a nice motel for getting some rest while traveling.

Barstow is situated half way between Los Angeles and Vegas and is therefore a good stop for anyone going from one to the other city!

This is a good Motel 6 but without nothing very special... It's a motel 6 So you get what you pay for (37.99 $ a night).

The room was clean and the people at the front desk friendly!

This Motel 6 is situated near many fast food and at about 800m from The Greyhound station.

If you pass by Barstow and don't want to pay much, this is the place!
