“Absolutely beautiful location and wonderful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2009

We had a fantastic stay at the Vintage Hotel. Upon arrival we were immediately given a tour by KC, one of the owners, and then served a terrific lunch by Richard, the other owner. The rooms are simple and clean with every modern amenity. An added bonus is that everywhere you go on the property you are treated to spectacular views of the ocean. The hotel has access to an amazing saltwater pool and also a hiking path which leads to beautiful beaches in either direction.

It so happens that during our stay the hotel was getting ready to host its first wedding and the owners were also taking their staff out for their end of season dinner. My husband and I and the couple who were getting married were all invited to join them at their dinner and we were treated like we were part of the family.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Vintage and cannot wait to go back.

We didn't stay at the hotel but walked by as we hiked along the coast and asked to see a room and then came back to have lunch. The rooms looked simple but well detailed (flat screen tv's, nice tile in small bathrooms). The view was stunning. Seemed a good value. The restaurant was delicious, although as others have commented it is pretty expensive. We had a delicious lunch, I am not even sure if they had planned to be open but they served us with incredible warmth. Delicious salad, fresh calamari and lovely shrimp carpaccio. The view is just incredible. We enjoyed our stay in town at another hotel but when we hopefully return to the area we may also consider this place as well.

Our family just returned from a 4-night stay at the Vintage Hotel. The hotel has an amazing view of the sea from each room. K.C., Richard and David were fantastic hosts. They made us feel at home and helped us plan our activities each day. The restaurant is great and the bar is lively in the evening. The pool area is built into a cliff overlooking the water. We also enjoyed going into the charming nearby town of Begur in the evening. The hotel is a great bargain. We have stayed at places that charge 2 or 3 times as much that were not nearly as nice. We look forward to returning to the Vintage Hotel.

It's located in a beautiful place, surrounded by country houses and sea. It is ideal for relaxing vacations, but eating in the restaurant is too expensive (10 euros per tapa) and they only tapas.

Conrad Hilton was once asked what the secret was to the succes of his hotels, and he replied Location, Location, Location and the owners of the Vintage Hotel Cap Sa Sal in Begur seem to have take his advies to heart. Perched high above the glistening blue mediteranian sea nestled between the pine trees providing some light shade this restaurant/hotel is worth visiting just for the view. I must admit that I did not stay in the hotel itself but stumbeld acros its restaurant whilst walking from the cove of Sa tuna to Cap Sa Sal. The menu comprises of various different small tapas style dishes featuring a wide array of flavours from around the world, I particularly enjoyed the chicken curry served in its own mini carserole, the gambas and the salmon wrap, although I also tasted some wonderful cured iberico ham my friend ordered. We enjoyed a bottle of very light fresh white wine recommended to us by the waiter.
The staff were all very friendly and helpfull the barman gave us each a taste of a strawberry mojito which was really refreshing (we decided not to order one each as we still had to walk back and it was still only the middle of the day).
All in all the food is great, i would suggest ordering a selection and eating a bit of everything, the staff are friendly, and the setting as I have said is fantastic. The price is in the medium range, between a simple beach restaurant and fine dining, but you could aslo just order one plate as a snack over a drink. I would definatly recommend the restaurant to anyone.
