“A charming Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

My husband and I were traveling home after a week in Maine and decided to stop in Concord for the night to break up our long trip. After looking online for a place to stay we called this B&B. The reviews were all very good and they had a room in our price range. When we got there we were notified that we would get a larger room at no additional charge. The place is very clean, nicely appointed and decorated in a charming manner. It was a very comfortable night's sleep. And the large breakfast the next morning was delightful. Fresh food well prepared. And the owners are most friendly. We would definitely stop there again.

Our hosts, Gregory and Marilyn, were very friendly and fun!! They made us feel at home. The breakfast and snacks were delicious! I'm still thinking about the wonderful chocolate cake!! My husband and I will definitely stay here again next time we're in Concord/Lexington area!!

A Perfect getaway for lovers of literature and history in a charming, warm, comfortable inn.
Marilyn and Gregory are the perfect hosts. They made our stay feel like we were with family.
The breakfasts were delicious with terrific conversations each morning with Gregory and
Marilyn waiting on each and everyone of us. The room was very clean and comfortable.
They are attentive to all their quests needs by making reservations at restaurants, providing
directions to area sites, and recommending places to visit, etc. This was one of our best
vacations, and we would highly recommend it.

My husband and I spent a weekend at the B&B in May of this year and it was spectacular. We were very well received by the owners whose offered us tea with biscuits and fruit as soon we arrived. The service is worthy of a 5 star hotel. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. The decor so beautiful and cozy, made us wish not to go out for visiting the city. Marilyn and Gregory think in every detail to make guests feel confortable. The breakfast was wonderful, served in a large table, where we can interact with other guests. I can not forget the wonderful taste of Crisp Apple. Everything was perfect. We hope to return one day.

We stayed one night enroute to a more northern destination yet we were welcomed like old friends and family. Very good location near center of town; easily walkable to shops, historic sites and eateries. Inn keepers were extremely helpful and served the most divine breakfast. Definitely would stay at the Hawthorne Inn again.

Mr. And Mrs. Innkeeper, Gregory and Marilyn, share their historic home with us romantic, history-oriented travelers. Located along a beautiful street, it is just a nice walk away from downtown Concord. When you needed to know something about the area, these two knew it. In detail. Our two favorite things about our stay: the family dogs and the granola! We are dog lovers, and enjoyed lovin' on the two gentle German Shepherds. Marilyn makes her own granola, and it is delish! All of our breakfast goodies were excellent. Thank you for the waffles, Gregory ;-). Ask Marilyn where to go for ice cream...you will not be disappointed! We will be back. Bring on the granola!!!

Located just a few minutes outside Concord center, this is an artfully decorared and
most pleasant Inn at which to spend a few quiet and learning packed days. The long time owners (raised their own family there) are most gracious and anxious to please, while carefully respecting the personal space of all. Each morning the owners
prepare and serve a delicious and nutritious breakfast including a fruit dish, home made granola and an entree of the day. Coffee is readily available for early risers.
