“Excellent Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2010

The Visitor Center's introductory film is not to be missed. With a large map in front, video screens built into the walls, and Concord on the left wall and Boston on the right wall, the sequence of events surrounding Paul Revere's and William Dawe's rides, the battles in Concord and Lexington, and the movement of personel is easily understood. The park is full of historic taverns, homes, and at the East location is the North Bridge and Minute Man Statue. Another Visitor Center there houses more displays.

Also in the area is Sleepy Hollow Cemetary, Walden Pond, and the homes of famous early American writers.

“Interesting visitor centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2010

We were travelling through Massachusetts on holiday and thought it would be nice to stop off in this historic area. The park is a pleasant walk through trees and open grassland. The visitor centre was excellent with good interpretative material and an interesting multi-media theatre presentation about the events of Lexington and Concord. Our 8-year-old enjoyed it, and I admit that it was the first time I understood why soldiers marching back and forth one night was such a big deal.

“What a wonderful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2010

I took our 10.5-year-old son to the park on Saturday. I have toured many national park service sites, and this is the best one. The rangers and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable. And to see that much American history in such a condensed location is remarkable.
Our only regret? Next time we will bring our bicycles. The whole area is very bike-friendly and tours are designed so one may bike from place to place.
This park is a real gem.

“The NPS has outdone itself; this is an AMAZING visitor's center!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2009

We loved this site - the Visitor's Center provides a free movie (narrated by the famous artist who's renderings of the days' events are invaluable). The rangers are helpful and friendly, and the site itself is beautiful in addition to the important historical value.

The park also includes lots of buildings and sites along the trail between Lexington and Concord you'll want to stop and explore. We happened upon a musket demonstration we'll never forget.

“Awesome for history buffs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2009

This was one of the best things on my recent visit to New England. Visiting the sights along this road were chilling and exciting at the same time. To see where our independence and freedom started was amazing.
