“Excellent little museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

The only reason we stopped in this museum was that it was thundering and lighting outside so they closed the trail to Spruce Tree House but we are so glad we stopped. Great little museum. Couldn't believe the pot of corn that is on display! Don't skip the museum - it is worth at least an hour

“Well worth the time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

You can spend a few hours in here - it's located on Chapin Mesa at the gift shop and park headquarters, and has an outstanding collection of artifacts along with a very informative diorama and narrative, and a video

“Must stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

Make sure to stop here, watch the film and see the exhibits. I'm not a museum person, but this provided depth and insight for the tours we had afterwards and answered many of our basic questions. Film was 25 mins and appropriate for kids too.

The best way to see what artifact they have recovered around the cliff dwellings and how the Indians lived here.

“Great museum with lots of exhibits”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

This is a must see stop for history of the park and its former inhabitants. A ranger is stationed to answer questions. There is a short film that is showed every 30 minutes which gives more history and information about the park. Dont miss the display on the wildfires that have impacted the park over the past 100 years.
