First and foremost, many thanks to Rosario the proprietor who was incredibly helpful and gracious via email while planning our trip, and equally so when we were there. Since we were traveling by train/bus (i.e., no car) she gave us tips on getting there, and arranged for taxi service to/from Oviedo and Aviles for our arrival and departure. And since our stay was through the first night of the annual San Juan festival which entailed music and partying until past dawn, she carefully explained that, so we would know that getting to sleep that night (we had to leave 6AM) might be a problem. But it did not matter: the street party was AMAZING, the double glazed shutters blocked the sound when we did hit the sack, and the taxi was ready as planned at the crack of dawn (and yes, some party goers were still out there). Rosario also recommended the best places to eat and shop, and even volunteered to take us to some of the shops to make sure we got the best dried beans possible (there are several varieties at different prices but they all look the same). An innkeeper cannot be more accomodating. When we return to Cudillero La Casona del Pio will be our address.More
