“Fine attention to detail in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Run by the owner, this small, gracious hotel outside Cudillero is well-staffed, and provides a hospitable and welcoming place to stay overnight or for a few days. There is a garden and outside space to relax. Inside the house has been lovingly restored and the rooms are spacious and charming. Breakfasts are generous with lots of choice of the most fresh and delicious pastries as well as all the other foods you would expect. The quality is really high. All home cooking. There is a well-established small camp site at the rear which has a modern outdoor swimming pool and guests can use this. It is possible to hear the noise from the pool during the daytime, with windows open. I recommend this hotel above 'paradors' at a much higher price.

We spent a week in this beautifully restored Indianos mansion and relaxed totally amid its lush gardens and light filled comfy room.
The staff were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable and the breakfasts were delicious. Yes, the house was noisy at times because of the creaking floorboards but the character of the place outweighed any such inconveniences.

I stayed in more than 35 hotels while travelling around Spain and this hotel was one of my favourites. It is a large home that was restored and revamped to become a small boutique hotel. It is just outside of Cudillero which is itself a charming little coastal village carved into the slate rock of the mountains boasting some of the most breathtaking views of nature and the water. It is a fishing port and has many seafood restaurants at the waterfront.

The hotel itself has a charming staff of competent women who run their establishment with great pride and dedication to the art of hospitality. The incredible breakfast offers a wide sampling of the local and regional dishes which are all freshly prepared by them with great care each day....little cakes, small breads and local fare..yummy! The room I stayed in was just as charming with a comfy bed and big bathroom. Before I left the hotel on a long hike I was offered a nice cup of tea in the tranquil garden with some homemade biscuits as a kind gesture that I never forgot...Charming? 100% Quiet? 100% Friendly 100% Delicious? 10000%! Don't miss it!

This is extremely charming boutique hotel. Beautifully restored old house with high comfort bedrooms and lovely garden, our stay was extremely pleasant and relaxing. The whole house is tastefully decorated, bedrooms are of good size and beds very comfortable. The hotel is pristine clean and the atmosphere very chilling. Downstairs lounge with fire place is very cosy place to spend time reading books and dining room with adjoining second lounge is spacious and elegant.
The breakfast (extra charge Eur 9) is really worth it as it includes a wide selection of home made sweets plus the selection of Spanish ham, cheese etc. All delicious and beautifully presented.

The location of the hotel is on a quiet road just off main road that leads to the fishing village and port of Cudillero (cca 5-6 mins drive, too far to walk). There are no shops or restaurants in the near vicinity and therefore car is a must.
The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. As this hotel doesn't have restaurant, they suggested several restaurants in Cudillero and also helped with planning our journey the next day to visit local beaches and other towns/villages.

Highly recommended, will definitely return!

This is a gorgeous place -- an elegant, old world house. Really like staying at a very affluent friend's home - very relaxing. The management goes out of its way to make you feel comfortable and "attended to" and breakfast was excellent. The elevator is quite slow and the wi-fi is spotty, especially in the rooms, but despite these minor details that could use a bit of improvement, it was a lovely place to stay at a more than reasonable price. Would return and highly recommend.

This is a lovely bed and breakfast. It is a pity they do not have a restaurant as their breakfast is out of this world. Not to be missed if you are in the area and if you want a taste of a typical Spanish experience.
