“Steak on a stone - try the experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2011

Have been to this restaurant in 3 different years, and have to say it was one of the best meals we had. There is something about cooking your own steak exactly to your liking.
Only downside we had this year was that we were persuaded by the waitress to go for the special offer, which was a slightly larger steak, but a rump (UK) steak rather than sirloin. The biggest problem was that the meat had more fat and managed to spit all over the table as well as on my wife's top, which she said was fun to get out. Needless to say, the meat was not as succulent as in previous meals at this restaurant, but was still pretty good all the same. We won't make the same mistake again.

“Tropical SteakHouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2011

Order the 200g 'rumpsteak' and enjoy. Or even larger if you need to!
maybe a salad to accompany. Cooking on a hot stone is easy to do to your taste. Very enjoyable.

“Wonderful Steak Dinner by the Beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2009

My husband and I didn't fly and drive all the way from Louisville, KY USA to Salobrena, Andalucia, SPAIN for a steak, but it was simply one of the best meals we had during our two weeks in Southern Spain! After a week and a half, we had eaten all the wonderful paella, gazpacho and fresh seafood we deserved, so we decided to try this steakhouse. Since it was September and we arrived early for dinner by Spanish standards, there was no need to wait or have a reservation. We had a great table outside under a canopy. We ordered salad and garlic bread as starters, then 200 gram and 300 gram steaks for dinner. For side dishes, we had french fries and green beans. For dessert, a simple apple pie with ice cream. The steaks were fun - slice and cook to your liking. I was afraid it might feel like 'work' but it was just the opposite. The dipping sauces that accompanied the meat were good, but the beef was perfect by itself. French fries fried in olive oil beat anything from the US. Green beans were cooked with ham and onions just like my grandma will make. Dessert was a nice finish to the meal. Even the house red wine, which was from the Rioja region of Spain, was a quality choice. We were even more surprised with the price - a rather big meal for two for under $90 US. I wish we had had enough time to go back a second night - please somebody, do it for us!

“GREAT STEAKS IN SPAIN”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2009

We, a party of 8, went to this restaurant and had a great meal. The steak which they say are rump but look and taste more like an english fillet are just delicious. They come in 200, 300 and 400gram sizes - one of our party did manage a 300 but 200 is really enough. You cook the meat on a granite stone so the meat is just cooked to your perfection and is also good for you as no oil or fat is used in the cooking. All steaks come with three sauces. There are also a lot of side dishes if you want like baked potato, chips etc. They also serve chicken and pork which is cooked in the same way. House wine was good as well. Service is quick and they understand english. We sat inside and outside and can recommend both. If in Salobrena you must eat here at least once.
