“Disappointing. Could've. Should've.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012 via mobile

Caught P'Cheen on a busy Monday night. They were probably busier than planned for and not as prepared as they should have been, but the service was slow and unattentive, the "Trust Us" appetizer was an expensive uninspired rice ball with bland "zesty" sauce, followed by an overcooked "house specialty"
portabella burger. You don't have to go far in this area for much better. I hope they learn and turn it up two notches.

“Ice cream Sammie's and served by Angel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

An excellent neighborhood bar that I wish was in my neighborhood. A throwback, decor-wise, to the bars in working-class areas all over the country. Except for the food! There is nothing routine about the food. They cure their own meats and my wife had the risotto of the day with their prosciutto. Excellent! I had the salmon with asparagus which was also delicious. We started out with some very tasty grilled rock shrimp. For dessert we took Angel's recommendation and had the ice cream Sammie's - a hunk of caramel and bacon ice cream between two slices of French toast. Bacon really does make everything better.

“Decent, not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

I ordered a steak salad and portion was fairly small --flavor was okay but some old lettuce made it a little less appetizing. Drinks were good. Dessert with french toast/salted ice cream "sammie" was only okay.

“Apple Pie Moonshine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

Wow. The food was amazing. Perfectly executed Pork Shank. My kabobs were slightly dry, but the grits that were the accompanyment were outstanding. The highlight had to be the Apple Pie flavored Moonshine. It actually tasted like an apple pie. I had no idea that moonshine even came in any flavor other than Gasoline. Truly astonishing.
The atmosphere is funky, in a cool way. Great attentive friendly service.
