“Embassy Suites Atlanta Airport”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2011

We are very dissapointed with this hotel. We walked in and it smelled very musty, you can only spray Febreeze so many times to cover the smell. The hotel is outdated, the rooms are a good size but have old TV's, the toilet keeps running and the shower pressure is poor. We invited friends over for a drink on a Sunday night and all the tables, tableclothes and chairs were nasty and dirty, it was very embarrassing!! We also got woken up at 2am by people having a fight outside the hotel at 2am, this happened twice....
I would never recommend this hotel to anybody.
I must say the staff at the front desk are nice and the breakfast is good with cooked to order omletes. Paul, Rodney, Keshia were a few of the nicer staff to deal with.
We would not want to stay here EVER again! The indoor swimming pool needs attention as well. Disappointment for a Hilton Upper Accomodation Hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE, better properties around for a more reasonable price.

Room Tip: Look for another Hotel in the immediate area.

Had to stay here when I missed a recent flight. Hotel staff very helpful in getting my reservation set up and taking the shuttle to get to the hotel. Standard Embassy Suites which has become my favorite brand - nice atrium (didn't seem as well lit as others though), excellent breakfast. No problems with the room not being clean or noise (tired though from the first leg of my flight). Rooms look fairly updated but still have the old tv model with reception poor on some channels. Overall good stay and would not hesitate to stay again. Literally minutes from the airport.

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon at 5 pm. Reception very nice and friendly. However, room was not ready. She apologized and said it would only be a few more minutes. Was checked in to my requested room within 15 mins and given a credit for the bar and/or restaurant for my " patience." Nice start. Lots of fountains, flowers and plants throughout lower level. very nice and relaxing. Fees charged to self-park and for WIFI..... Not cool. Rooms are definitely spacious. But, I have to agree with other reviewers about being a bit drab and outdated for furnishings, carpet, decor. My king smoking suite was clean. Bed was very worn and I didn't sleep well. TVs are the old CRT type and cable service is very bad- snowy, interference, etc. Entrance to rooms is atrium setup, open to all below and above. Not bad for noise until the bar crowd downstairs can get rowdy. Speaking of the bar, free drinks from 5-7 each night and some finger foods. Ate at the restaraunt each day and food was good, but the usual higher hotel price. Free breakfast is good. Omelets and eggs cooked to order or a hot buffet line. Omelet was great, buffet food not quite as good- but all free! Not much at all within walking or short drive of the hotel- secluded in an industrial/hotel area. Provided a small meeting room for our trip. Very nice and all we needed. Overall a good trip. Staff seemed friendly and price was reasonable.

I stayed in this hotel twice - once in Feb. and once in March. Reception was very nice and accomodating. The rooms are okay but are very tired looking and need renovation. The one thing I didn't like was all the filth under the front of the beds on the carpet - dust, hair, Q-tips, paper, and even an empty liquor bottle. In today's world with all the problems with hotels, it is imperative that they keep these places clean. When I left on the outgoing trip, I advised the front desk of this problem and when I came back the next month, the garbage, hair, etc. was still under the front of the beds in the next room I stayed in.Obviously housekeeping is not vacuuming under these beds at all. Aside from that, we had no problems and I thought the breakfast very good for the price. They need to clean better under those beds but they don't seem particularly concerned.

Good location close to the airport for an overnight. Reasonable price for large rooms, breakfast included. Rooms are a little "tired". But the deal breaker is $9.95 for wi-fi for each device. So if we wanted wi-fi for our computer and Iphone it would have been $20.00. That is unacceptable and we won't stay there again.

Stayed here for 5 days while on business in the area. Arrived to find broken phone, no clock in bedroom, questionably clean room. Carpet was threadbare in places, as was the bed covering. Toilet was loose on the floor.
Asked for another room but apparently none available. Clock eventually appeared, and phone was fixed. Toilet, no.
There's a 2-cup coffee maker in the room. It had pods and paper cups ready on my arrival. I used them the first morning. That day, cleaning staff replaced cups but left no pods. Complained to front desk and got some delivered. Next day, had pods but no cups. Third day, neither pods nor cups. Complained to front desk who said they'd have some sent up but none ever arrived.
Corners of bathroom floor were visibly dirty. Chairs in the living room area were stained. The place really needs to be cleaned up and updated.
Despite their inability to do things right, I have to say that the staff was friendly.

I am Hilton Gold. Love the chain but this hotel should not be sold under the brand. I checked out after being unable to sleep due to airplane noise -- was on fifth floor. No soundproofing. Room was disgusting. Peeling wallpaper. Unvacuumed, old carpet. Dirty phone by bed. Frayed duvet cover. One lamp by bed didn't work. Ancient furnishings and TV AC unit didn't work and front desk's only response, "switch it off." Holed blackout drapes. So called restaurant has old formica tables and barroom atmosphere and lighting. Ten bucks to park. Ultra security on parking but appeared to be none inside hotel and encountered 2 strange men who I don't think were guests. Strongly advise Hilton to pull the plug on this joint.
