“Very Very VERY dirty, overpriced. Poor service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2009

The sheets were not clean, the pillows smelled moldy. The room was filthy, specifically the bathroom. Upon check in the tub and floor were both grimy, had not been cleaned in lord knows how long. There were 2 "towels" one being a facecloth.
I stayed from Sunday through Saturday, the room was cleaned once and that was on Monday. By Friday there were heaps of towels and thetrash overflowing. The only reason I even had clean towels was because I would go downstairs and ask. The phone service did not work, dropping calls often and with very poor reception. The free wifi, again did not work in my room. The Air conditioning blasted out heat, so the room was 76 my whole stay. Tried opening windows, but the staff was smoking under the window so my room was stinky of smoke in minutes. With the room so hot, the weeks worth of trash in the can that housekeeping NEVER cleaned really smelled.
The food was very school cafeteria type, and rediculously overpriced. One greasy, sorry looking sandwich is 13 dollars.
The staff was rude at times. One waiter was a dream, the rest slow and inefficient. It took 35 minutes to get checked in because the front desk clerk was chatting with someone over the telephone

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, specifically the bathroom. There was a lot of hair behind the door and a dead fly with more dirt near the bathtub. The sheets did not smell like bleach and were wrinkled. It looked like they may not have been changed. The room also had a dirty smell. I will not stay there again.

Very nice hotel with a distinctive look, looks like a large house from the outside. Nice, clean rooms. Courteous front desk staff, was greeted with a big smile. Breakfast buffet was quite good and tasty. We loved the pool area with the waterfall hot tub beside it. Hotel was easy to get to from I75 and II285, liked the proximity to White Water (about 15 minutes). Would definitely stay there again.

Chose this hotel because of the reviews on this website. Driving up to the property, I was in awe. The property was well kept and it was very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and willing to assist with any issue we had. The major drawback of this stay was the very first night we were there the A/C did not work in our room. The staff sent the service tech up to try to fix the problem, but was told that he would have tend to the issue at a later time due to the length of time it would take to fix the problem and he would have them place us in another room. The hotel was completely occupied and could not accommodate the move. So a fan was provided for our night stay. Day two we move to the next room, same problem this time the A/C had a leak. Another Technician was sent up and informed us he would have us changed again. By this time I was tired and frustrated. Went down to the old room to retrive the fan to sleep another night without A/C. Next day spoke with the manager to inform him of the situation and was told that we could not be compensated for the two night stay due to we were traveling on a discounted rate, to which I informed him that regardless of the rate every room in this beautiful hotel should be within standard to accommodate any guest. Again the technicians and the front desk personel were very friendly. I was informed that the hotel is being renovated. Hopefully once that is completed the A/C issues will be a thing of the past. The rooms were very nice and comfortablely sized. Once everything is working properly this will be the place to stay. I would recommend this hotel considering all the other positive things, but keep in mind you may get a room were the a/c is not working.

Booked this hotel based on location, reviews, and cost. When we got to our room, we noticed a distinct musty/moldy smell, but I let it slide because of the cost. Then we noticed other issues: the inside of the toilet was dirty, the left knob of the sink kept popping off, and the sliding glass door (which was a window facing the parking lot and led nowhere) was off track and you could hear everything outside. We did manage to fix it and lock it into place. There was also a huge gap under the main door (about 1 in. at least) - and you could almost see into the hallway. You also heard everything - which we did not like at 1:45 AM when our neighbors were throwing a party. We were also disappointed that there was not continental breakfast after the sleepless night we had. Instead you had to pay for a $12.50 per person buffet. Needless to say - we left after one night.

We go over to Atlanta, several times a year and have stayed somewhere different each time. This Courtyard is about a mile from I-285, so it is convenient to get around the city.
The room was large with updated furnishings. Big flat screen TV, small refrig. in the room. We got a great rate off Marriott site that included breakfast, there is a buffet for breakfast. There is a really nice outdoor area around the pool, that is landscaped with beautiful flowers. The kids loved the pool, though the water was still cold.

The only cons: the air conditioner in our room was loud when it cut off and on and the pool and hot tub had some leaves and stuff from the trees in the them.

Great shops, mall and places to eat all around.

We stayed here with our two children on Spring Break. We had planned on going to Six Flags, but didn't want to stay downtown. A friend who was from the area recommended this hotel. We were very, very pleased! This is the most updated Courtyard by Marriott at which I've stayed. The staff was helpful, the rooms were very clean, and the location was great. There were exceptional restaurants nearby and good shopping right across the street! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here.
