“Best Western very accomadating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

I had just finished a 21 hour train and arrived in Atlanta at 8AM. The check-in time was normally after 3PM. The check-in told it was no problem to check right away. The hot breakfast of Waffles, Scrambled Eggs and Sausage was excellent. The room was quiet and comfortable with a really nice bedside light for reading. There were no issues with the room or service. My train didn't leave Atlanta until 8PM and BW checked my luggage so I was free to mingle downtown until my departure.

Your commentary... let's me know you were on a long journey.... from Syracuse to wherever.

Glad you chose us....
and please know... that every hotel here in Atlanta...
and most everywhere....
would have been just as gracious as us...
to check you in early.

Hope you found happiness at your destination...
and that your trip back is safe.

My daughter and I went to Atlanta for an overnight shopping trip. We had stayed at this hotel on our last visit and had such a great experience we went back again. The hotel is just such a pleasant place to stay. The entire staff was friendly, courteous and professional. The rooms are clean, fresh, and very comfortable. They have extra pillows in various styles (soft, firm, etc.) which I found to be a great perk. And then there is the breakfast bar that is outstanding and Free.
The location is great, close to everything. When we were finished with our shopping (again convenient and easy to get to) we walked to Max Lagers pub, (less than a block away), sat outside and had a lovely meal. I am in my sixties and really cherish the time I get to spend with my daughter. I found this hotel to be a little oasis in the heart of a great city. Thank you to the entire staff and management team

Room Tip: If available ask for a inside room. But if none are available the others face a sweet courtyard.

A dear friend.... a former colleague told me... "Happiness is not a state... it's a process".

This in response to my asking him...."if he was happy"?

He went on to explain... that 2 hours ago he was feeling miserable...
with "things' at his hotel...
and now talking with me...his good friend... he was happy...
but....
20 minutes from now after our chat....he could very well... be not happy.

Hence the comment....happiness is a process.

SO it is...with....your headline...."Just keeps getting better".

Yes....I love the heartfelt intent... and for that.... I will indeed say thank you.

But the reality is... that the days do not always go well...
we make a lot of guests happy....but...sometimes things go off track.
just know that....
we are always working /"processing"... on staying and getting better.

It makes me "happy"... that you cherish your time with your daughter...
and that you reminded me.... of my dear friend... of long ago.

My recent visit to Atlanta was enhanced tremendously by the attitude & actions of a very special staff at Best Western Plus Inn At The Peachtrees. They treated me as one of their family & my thanks especially to Donnell, Gretta, Jamila, Shannon & Yvonne! They were terrific!!

The hotel is within walking distance of many local sites, including the Martin Luther King Centre, Ebenezer Church (huge thanks Donnell!), CNN, The Georgia Aquarium, High Museum & Piedmont Park. Good walking shoes recommended - can be quite a hike to some of these sites, but if not up to it - MARTA has excellent light rail service).

The team's recommendations for restaurants were excellent, especially Georgia Sweet's Juke Joint at 200 Peachtree (fab food & music), & Max Lager's directly across the street from the hotel.

I will definitely stay again!

In my last guest response....just before yours...I shared I was close to becoming a cynic.

First no worries...not ever going become a cynic...love my wife too much.

Good to read that ...the waiters...CJ and Dan at the....
Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint down the street from us...were great...
and....
Jasmin at Max Lager's Brewery across the street made you feel at home..

Your comments about them.... and our five staff members...who I love a lot too...

reinforce the reality that while...
we all get "bombarded" with....negativity and negative news..
that
there are still really good "things" out there...
and...
still a lot...of good people who care.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to Atlanta....
especially happy to read...
that...
you met Elder Bernice King...the daughter of Dr.King...

WOW....

I was looking at several hotels for our parents night out in Atlanta. To be honest, what finally made me choose this location, other then the great price was how the manager of the property responded to reveiws of his hotel. I was very impressed at how he would apologize when needed and praise his staff when needed. I felt that any one who enjoyed their job and took enough pride in their hotel, it was worth a try. I was not dissappointed at all. I have been reading the other reviews and I disagree with the negative ones, if you did your reasearch on the hotel, you will see that all the rooms are outdoor, you will also see the parking fee is 15.00, this is listed very plainly on their website (and other websites). Our room was clean, the bed was comfy and the hotel was in walking distance to everything. The staff was wonderful and everyone seemed happy to be there. We would stay here again for sure. Glad I gave it a try. Thanks!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are very nice and quiet.

I will share with you that I am very close... to entering the "dark side"...the "world" of cynicism.

And....my wife Virginia....and best friend...
threatens to leave me... if I ever...do enter that negative world.

SO...
thank you for your kind words...
and more importantly....to me...
for...
reminding me that there are still people...
who read...
and make balanced decisions based on...
the totality of the reviews on Trip Advisor.

That stated...
as it relates to....me....and perhaps is the reason...
I respond to reviews the way I do...(always too long)

Is because of a quote...
in the book by Sidney Poitier.."The Measure of a Man"...

"I have no wish to play the pontificating fool,
pretending that I've suddenly come up with the answers...
to all lifes questions"...

"Quite contrary....
as I look back at a long a complicated life....
with many twists and turns...
how well I've done...
at measuring up to the values I myself have set".

Marlene was so friendly and professional, she suggested a place to eat dinner nearby and made us feel like asking for her help was no trouble. Our room was very clean and our bed extremely comfortable. We were happy to enjoy a delicious breakfast via room service. We would stay at Best Western again!

Temptations...come to all of us and so I sit here...considering this 5 star review.

Knowing that while a 5 really helps us with our ranking...
and...
being...SO tempted... to simply say thank you
because...
we work so hard...to get high star reviews...

But...
knowing too...
that...
since you did not stay with us....
and your review was intended to recognize another Best Western...
that we....we did not earn this.

SO...
thank you for...using Best Westerns...
and...
please notify Trip Advisor...
to assign this review to the correct hotel.

I know they will appreciate your very kind words

My husband and I recently traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to visit our youngest daughter attending college in the area. We were pleasantly surprised to have found the perfect spot in the Bestwestern Hotel located at 330 W Peachtree. It was perfect for both the pocketbook and the location.

The location was especially great because it was only about 10 minutes driving distance from our daughter’s college and centrally located to other sites we were interested in checking out like the Georgia Aquarium. You’re also within walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shopping and the MARTA.

We were also very spoiled each morning with a BIG breakfast (included in the cost I might add) ~ scrambled eggs, grits, breakfast meat, breakfast potatoes, waffles, coffee, all kinds of tea, yogurt, various types of fruit, muffins, rolls, biscuits~ everything was simply delicious! It was close to home cooking.

The staff was very accommodating as well. One day our room was overlooked by housekeeping but as soon as we notified the front desk, the matter was handled ASAP. Hats off to Yvonne J, Robert S and Gretta H for the great service.

The parking garage only has one way in and out BUT the front desk works it like a charm. We were in the hotel 5 days and never had a problem.

Overall, we were pleased. We intend to use this same hotel when we return. We’ll also recommend this location to our friends.

There are a lot of great hotels in Downtown Atlanta and have great service.

Really happy to read that you found....
Yvonne J.....Robert and Gretta....

good people who care.

This hotel was great. We had to attend a conference at the Hyatt which is located a block away from the Best Western. We were very happy with the breakfast. We arrived towards the end of the breakfast each morning and everything was still fresh and hot. There was a wide variety of food, well stocked and clean. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed the internet speed. The room was clean and provided the amenities we are used too. I have to say the shower was wonderful. It provided great water pressure, hot water, and updated showerhead. It felt like a massage. The rooms are a bit small, but this is not a problem when traveling with a loved one or alone. It was a great value, because we were within walking distance of several great restaurants like the Juke Joint, Hard Rock, and others. We were happy that we decided to stay here over the Hyatt where the conference was held. We saved a lot of money while having access to all the things our colleagues had who stayed at the Hyatt.

Interesting....reading your review...and....in all of your other reviews...you "sound"
like the three most respected women in my life...

My wife Virginia....
Jessica my Director of Sales and Joelle my OPS Manager.

All three are always looking for and getting really good savings...
by not doing...what I do....
and that is ....
when I go to a Convention...I stay at the host hotel...period.

They look at other hotels around the host hotel...
see the distance...
find the best value and book there....
and then use the extra cash...
to do things that are interesting and fun.

Me....I fly in....go to the host hotel...stay IN the hotel....fly out.

I suppose that makes me boring at best...and stupid at worst.

Anyway...I am on my way to Miami this week...for a District Meeting...
staying at a Hyatt Regency....a really good operation...
and...was...planning to repeat my usual pattern....

Perhaps...I should reconsider that...

Thanks for the good review...and for making me think.
