“Good hotel, but...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

My husband and I were attending a conference in Hyatt Regency in June 2013. We got to the hotel from the airport by subway- it took less than 30 min- very convenient.Check in was quick- no issues. We had a room in Radius Tower on the 18th floor. The room was clean, nicely decorated, bed was comfortable, towels white and fresh, just the size of the room was disappointing- very small and triangular. There is hardly enough space for one person.A/c was loud- we had to turn it off at night. There is a couple of restaurants in the lobby-pricey. We had breakfasts and lunches in Momo- a buffet style restaurant in Peachtree centre mall- adjacent to the hotel. There is a food court with tons of dining options, but Momo was the best price wise, selection and freshness of food.Keep in mind that the food court/mall is closed on Sundays.
They have a business centre and Fedex kiosk on site, conference facilities- quite adequate. You can print your boarding pass free of charge in the lobby.Internet in the room is $14.99/day and it was free in the lobby. Pool was nice and clean, but most times there was no sun since there are very tall building around the pool blocking the sun. I suggest bringing a sweater or a jacket since common areas/conference rooms are airconditined and you can get cold if you have to sit for several hours.

Room Tip: Ask for the room other than Radius tower, unless you like tight triangular rooms.

Thank you for choosing our hotel during your stay. You chose to take the MARTA train line from the airport to the hotel --it's a direct shot and we agree that this route is very convenient! We are connected to the MARTA train line by a skybridge. It is a very easy, quick (and covered) access. We are glad you found our FedEx business center to be helpful. The business center, located in our lobby, offers many services to assist in making your trip less stressful. We appreciate your review and do hope you will come see us again, soon!

Another great deal from Priceline! My wife and I were on a business trip and we stayed here. I had absolutely NO complaints about this hotel! Beautiful decor, beautiful scenery and a great staff that was more than happy to answer any questions that I had. It was right in the middle of downtown so everything we needed was close by, including the freeway.

Green Features: Great use of sky lighting... very well lit. The greenery everywhere gave a cozy feel to the hotel.

We stayed here two weeks ago to attend a Braves game. We hated this hotel. From the very beginning the service was very poor due to the fact that there was no parking available at the hotel. We had two rooms booked for two couples and were told to park two blocks away and walk back to the hotel. My husband and I were able to finally get parking at the hotel for $32/night but our son had to park offsite and walk back to the hotel late at night and he found himself in the middle of two angry drug dealers where a gun was displayed. Then he was accosted by prostitutes. Welcome to Atlanta! The hotel rooms were mediocre at best with terrible views of the roofs of nearby buildings. Our room had a one-foot wide balcony which was ludicrous. Why bother? The bathrooms were no bigger than a portapotty. Our ice bucket plastic bag was dirty and wet and when I asked at the front desk for a clean bag I was told that they didn't have any clean bags there and that I had to go through housekeeping. How is that for good service? The checkout line was ridiculously long and needless. Where are the self-service checkout functions? The car valet people could not find our car for a long time at checkout. They did refund our parking fee due to the long wait so that was a plus but we were starting to get nervous when they couldn't find our car after such a long time. There were crumbs under the chairs in our room and you couldn't see the tv from the bed. The only positive I can give is for the room service as the food was good and the service prompt. I will go back to the Marriott Marquis next time. The Hyatt was terrible.

I stay at Hyatt Regency Hotels for their great service and excellent rooms. This one was no exception. The room was great and I loved the decor, the hotel made every effort to make my stay great and did so effortlessly, they know what they are doing, as you would expect. The hotel restaurant, Sway, was outstanding with really great service and food. The Market was a very convenient way to get a quick bite late at night as it was open 24/7. The hotel was very busy with several conferences going on at once and the bar busy every night, but my room was perfectly quiet. Slept great. Thank you Hyatt for another great stay.

Room Tip: I have a thing about not staying in rooms that are above the 3rd story, but I wish I had made an exc...

Wow! Thank you for the kind words you have said about our hotel! We love maintaining (and exceeding) the positive image of Hyatt hotels for our loyal customers. We train every employee to the highest standard of customer service and southern hospitality. Every guest is special and unique, and we want to acknowledge every need and perform to the best of our ability. Thank you for pointing this out. Sway and the Market are great dining options --next time visit Twenty-Two Storys for a taste of Georgia brews and a beer-forward menu! It won't disappoint. And you are more than welcome! See you next time!

I am a Hyatt frequent customer, and was disappointed with the regency atlanta, I will say however that the concierge minus one crusty old lady that worked there, and the restaurant staff and management have been wonderful. If there was an issue they were quick and willing to try and fix it, and I truly appreciate it, nobody is perfect and this is the reason I switched from other hotels to Hyatt. As long as the staff are great and willing, I would defiantly say it's a step in the right direction. The food at sway, is better than the food at two towers. Price isn't the issue, your at a Hyatt, it's about the service.
Thanks again, would def give you another shot next time I was in atlanta.

My family just returned from a 3-night trip to Atlanta. Overall, I was pleased with the Hyatt Regency. GREAT customer service. One night our room reeked of cigarette smoke (we were far above the designated smoking floor). It took over an hour to get some air freshener, but the staff were apologetic and understanding, especially considering we had small children breathing in the smell.

Parking was high. We opted to park in the lot a block away, and had no complaints from doing so. It saved about 50%.

My only complaint deals with the cleanliness of the room. There was a plastic wrapper from around a pack of cigarettes on the floor when we walked in the room. Also, while in the tub, I noticed the dirt and dust all around the toilet bowl. It looked as if someone had vomited in the toilet and it was not cleaned properly. Sadly, I noticed this on the last day after I was thoroughly disgusted.

Overall, the price was right and we were right in the middle of everything. We would stay again, though next time I will check the cleanliness of the room better.

clean, spacious for price rooms newly renovated.. No wifi in rooms-- in America! Really!? Business center is a "rent by the minute" desktop in the fedex office.

Distract yourself with the outdoor pool surrounded by buildings. To be fair we traveled here for the Finals of the National Middle School History Bee and it was a very good hotel for this-- lots of meeting space and cheap conference rates. Ask for a high floor. All rooms overlook the open atrium lobby and low floors are exposed to all the lobby noise.
