“Rooms need updating, but we will stay again.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

This is a difficult review to write. I read the previous reviews and decided to give it a try. I can't recommend the hotel to folks who want nice and new, and there are several cosmetic issues (hole in the inside door, walls need fresh paint) but the service was very good, and when you figure in the free breakfast and free dinners (with $1 beer/wine), it's a great deal for Atlanta. You are basically in an apartment with a full kitchen, bedroom, walk-in closet, and separate living area. They have tennis courts and a basketball area. The pool always seemed to have debris floating in it, probably a function of the "woods"-like setting. If it was $150 per night I would say you could do better, but for less than $100, if you don't mind that the door might creak or fridge door might have a dent in it, then this place is a pretty good bet.

Room Tip: Maybe get one on the same level as the lobby - it's quite hilly and can be a bit of a walk if yo...

Good day MangaMan,
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review about our hotel and your stay. We are a hotel that is set up like apartments with very spacious suites which sits on 13 acres of land which does include some hills. We are making improvements around the hotel and although we have have had a recent renovation, we work very hard to maintain our hotel. We have a maintenance program in place that addresses cosmetic issues such as the one you described in your room. We have looked into the room that you stayed in and are in the process of correcting those issues. Our pool does have lots of trees and landscape around it and we have increased our daily cleaning times to ensure that the pool stays nice and clean at all times. . We are constantly working to improve our hotel and our service and we certainly appreciate your business and your feed back regarding your stay. Have a wonderful week!

I was a little unsure when I saw some reviews online but was very satisfied now that I have enjoyed a three night stay there. Our room was overlooking a natural stream and the outside sound of the water was very relaxing. Our room was clean and the different hot breakfast each morning was excellent. The pool was very nice and with it situated amongst the trees was a beautiful place. The price we booked was an excellent value for what we received. While this is not the top of the line, it is very comfortable. Very nice restaurants nearby such as Houstons, Fuddruckers, etc... Will stay there again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the stream.

Foremost don't be fooled by the word ":Wyndham" as we were, the lobby is also nice as was the landscape. The rooms were very outdated, the bathroom sink was old, the front wooden part kept falling off. The eletrical outlet where the iron goes didn't work, the fridge front door didn't close properly, the brown piece of material you see on the bed is just very thin piece of material made to look like bedding from afar, the tv is the old color ones that most hotels have gotten rid of. The outdoor pool was filthy. If I had to name something good it would be their breakfast orange juice and coffee, the staff was also very nice. We were met by flying bugs in our room as well but I guess that's because we were in building 2 where was near a lot of greenery.

Good day Karem M,
Thank you for taking the time to send in a review of your stay at our hotel. We apologize that your stay was less than perfect. We have looked into the issues regarding the room you stayed in and have since taken care of those issues. The brown runner located at the end of the bed is a part of the decorations for the bed and is no way intended to decieve our guest into thinking that it is a full bed spread. We do have additional blankets for guest that may need them. Our property sits on 13 acres of land and is heavily landscaped along with the Chattahoochee River running behind the hotel. This unfortunately sometimes this brings flying bugs. However our maintenance team along with our pest control company best to keep all flying insects to a minimum. Also this same beautiful landscape is around our pool area which sometimes causes leaves to be in the pool but we are constantly monitoring the pool and the surrounding area to keep it clean and neat. It is our goal to deliver great service as well as provide our guest with the best stay possible. Again thank you very much for your feed back as it is what helps us to continue to improve our hotel and services.

We stayed at this hotel for fifteen days - as I was moving to Atlanta, GA. I chose this hotel solely on the basis of its proximity to my new office. By the end of my stay, I was happy that I chose this hotel. The hotel is located just off I-75. The hotel lobby is nice and the staff is courteous. The check-in process was hassle free. The property is spread over an uneven area of land. The staff helped us locate our room and move our baggage riding over their 'extended' golf carts. There are lots of parking spaces over the property. The property bears a rather old look, however, is clean and well maintained. I was happy with the condition of the one bedroom suite with full kitchen provided to me and the view from the balcony is superb with lots of greenery and the river flowing by, wherein you can actually see small turtles and fishes swimming through the water body. The layout, furniture and lighting of the rooms are satisfactory. Bath room is clean and spacious. Everyday housekeeping is provided. The breakfast provided is ample and there are also social evening hours where decent choice of food is provided. The pool is ok and there are washers and dryers to help you if required, particularly for extended stays. Internet speed is average. No issues with check-out either. There are lots of gas stations, groceries (Publix, Kroger, Wal-Mart, Farmer’s etc.), all types of fast food chains, restaurants (American, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, etc.), pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS) within few minutes’ distance – so the hotel is very conveniently located. All tourist attractions of Atlanta are with 10-15 miles from the hotel. The hotel also provides local shuttle (depending on availability) to assist you travel from and to the hotel within a radius of 5 miles.

I booked my room through HotWire - specified that I wanted a 3 star hotel room. They sent me to this place. This hotel has VERY OLD rooms! It seems to be old apartment buildings that were converted into hotel rooms. No renovation has been done for decades in this place. It is quite hilly and had to walk around. The rooms are hard to find at night - do not have adequate signage or lightning. The floors are old so you can hear footsteps from the room above all night long. Check in was fine and the service people did a good job. I would not go back to this hotel and I certainly will NOT use HotWire services again if they think that this decrepit place deserves a 3 star rating.

Room Tip: Don't choose this hotel!

Good day GAgal1,
Thank you for staying at our hotel and I apologize that you were not happy with our facility. Our hotel is an older construction that is set up like apartments. This gives us a slight advantage over other hotels in that our one and two bedroom suites are very large which includes full size kitchens. The property sits on 13 beautiful acres of land which does include some hills. If at any time our guests don't feel like walking, we are more than happy to shuttle them to the gatehouse. We are constantly monitoring our lights around the property since it is very large and if at any time lights are out, we report them immediately to the power company so that they can come out and replace them. Again thank you very much for your business, for your comments on our property and we hope that you will consider not only staying with us again but to book through Hotwire because they not only book great hotels they can get you the best deals.

With a family of 5 it is difficult to find hotels, so we tend to stay in suite hotels. we stayed at this property years ago and it hasn't been updated at all. Our room had a large damp spot on the floor; the toilet would not flush properly; there was a cockroach in the microwave; and the pull-out sofa bed was in terrible shape.

We will not be staying in this hotel again.

Room Tip: Choose elsewhere...
