“NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

This hotel was dirty and ghetto fabulous. The staff are the rudeous people ever!! Our room had no heat, bedsheets didnt fit, red stains on carpet, entire hotel stink so bad it would make you puke, mold and rust in bathroom, patio door screwed shut, carpet was coming up in places, wallpaper was coming off, lights had no bulbs, TV was full of static and it was just horrible. It wasnt worth $10 a night much less $129 I paid. Area was nasty too. Trust me, beleive the reviews and stay elsewhere, Far from here.

Room Tip: Friends stayed at Omni said it was nice.

“NEVER AGAIN!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

I would never stay here again...thought I was getting a deal but then again you pay for what you get. The staff is ghetto and rude, the elevators are super slow, the hallways are smelly and dirty. The rooms are dirty and out dated despite and supposed renovation taking place. The beds are hard, the bathroom had mold in the ceiling corner, the floors in the room were disgusting, the comforters had stains and tje view sicked. There wasn't a list of channels or delivery menus and the staff was unhelpful. The ice machines were raggedy amd didn't work most of the time. I recommend paying the extra cash for one of the nicer hotels like the Glenn or the Hilton. I personally would NEVER stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

“Five stars if I don't have to pay for it”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

I stayed at this hotel three weeks ago for the IPPE at the GWCC. My trip was paid for by the university I attend and USPoultry. The hotel was outdated and disgusting. There was wood chipped off in the bathroom, and the power outlets were cracked. The availability of power outlets was low. (Please bring a surge protector.) There was dried gum on the stairway. Access to the porch was locked. (Why?)
Therefore, I declare this hotel five stars if it's free, and one star if you have to pay for it. It was AWFUL!!! Please stay at the Hyatt or something better in Downtown next time.

Dear Traveler -

Our apologies that the Hotel ATL did not meet your expectations!

It is true that the property is dated and in need of some TLC! Shortly, the property will be renovated and any previous decor issues will be eliminated. Until that time, I encourage you to periodically check in on our progress and give us a try once we sparkle and shine!

“Worst hotel I have ever stayed in”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

My week in Atlanta at the AmericasMart was the worst having stayed at this hotel. The rooms were filthy - we asked twice to have the floor vaccuumed before they even made an attempt. There was hair in the desk drawer where someone obviously had cut their hair - and it was not cleaned up. I had to clean the lamp/table before I could put my phone on it. We had to wait an hour before our rooms were supposedly ready. Well past 3 o'clock. The buffet was a joke - bread, cereal and large amounts of fruit flies. Two nights in a row I had to ask for soap. One night they didn't have any. The people running this hotel could of cared less about anyone in that hotel. Never, ever again.

“Great Location within Atlanta... That's The Only "Great" Thing About This Place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

I recently stayed here for a three night New Year's Eve concert run at The Tabernacle theatre which is about 4 blocks away.

A friend sarcasticly commented: "This place is going to be awesome -- once the remodeling is done." This hotel had previously been a Holiday Inn (as their free Wi-Fi is still labeled) and is open while being renovated. And that's a good thing because the hotel is rather run down.

The glass sliding door onto the room's patio wouldn't open. It appeared that the hotel may have purposely done that; but at the same time it wasn't fully shut either: the top of the the door didn't fully shut and left about a centimeter or two of "open window". Which in December lets a draft in the room.

This is a run down hotel in need of renovaitons; but they do appear to be remodeling parts of the hotel. That said, the location is fantastic. It's about four blocks away from The Tabernacle; two blocks from Coca-Cola and Olympic Park; three blocks from the subway station (which can bring you to to the airport); plus we could see the Georgia Dome in the distance.

The location really is great; but the hotel itself is kind-of-trashy and run down; so it is cheap.

Dear Traveler --

Thank you for your review of The Hotel ATL!

We are so glad that you agree that our hotel is a FANTASTIC location! Not only are we a few blocks away from the Tabernacle, as you mentioned, we are within walking distance of the World of Coke, GA Aquarium, Georgia Dome and the Olympick Centennial Park. You can park and walk to any of these great locations!

In terms of the glass sliding door, please accept our most sincerest apologies for the door not properly closing and resulting in air coming through.

We hope when you return to the Atlanta Metro area, that you will give us the opportunity to improve your guest experience.
