“What a find!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

Wow, what a great little hotel. Located in midtown, this boutique hotel is just 1/2 block to the Midtown MARTA station so we used it as a base for our two-day mini-vacation in Atlanta. Also, it is walking distance to Atlantic Station and the Woodruff Art Center. The hotel's room rate with a full, hot breakfast included was less than $150 for the two of us. Our room was quite nice and we got a small upgrade to a King Loft....which was quite nice sized. All the staff we encountered were friendly, pleasant and helpful. The hotel is an older 1920's era apartment building that has been converted to a hotel. Couple of little hiccups: $2 a cup coffee in the rooms (but free coffee is available in the lobby) and no utensils in kitchenette (no plates or silver wear) although it did have a mini-refrigertor and sink along with a table and chairs. One of the nights we there we had planned to an area restaurant for dinner put it was pouring down rain; we opted to eat in the hotel bar and had a salad and hot sandwich....most important, we stayed warm and dry and even enjoyed complimentary cookies from the lobby for dessert.

Great place to stay.....I suspect we will be back!!!

Thank you Ken S for your fantastic review! It certainly made me smile! I am so happy you had a great experience with us. Thank you for your feedback regarding the missing utensils in your kitchenette. Now every kitchenette in the split level rooms has utensils outfitted for 4.

We look forward to having you back soon!

On our recent trip to Atlanta to visit our daughter, we were so happy we found the Artmore Hotel. It's a very charming boutique hotel. The staff is extremely professional and focused on making your stay as pleasant as possible. Our room was modern , spacious and very well appointed. The bed and pillows are on par with a five star hotel. The Mediterranean architecture and modern interiors are quite charming and reminded us of Europe. The courtyard bar area is really a fantastic setting in the evening, perfect for cocktails and chatting by the fountain. We loved the big city feel of the lobby bar. The midtown location allows you to walk to dinner and is convenient to downtown and expressways. We highly recommend the Artmore and look forward to staying there in the future.

Booked in for 3 nights at the end of a month long road trip, the Artmore with it's excellent beds, very stylish surrounds & fantastic staff was just what I needed.
Bar is very cool if a little expensive & there is a reasonable amount of noise from the courtyard on the Friday night but aside from that I found it's location really handy, especially if you just want to use the MARTA to get around town.

We had driven down from NYC so my fiancé could scuba dive at the Georgia Aquarium with the whale sharks. (Amazing experience btw but maybe next time, we won't do it around Xmas, too many people!!!)

The Artmore is located in midtown, easy 10'ish minute drive to downtown where all the attractions were. Call ahead when you need your car and the valet boys will bring them around. New experience for us but apparently this is the norm in Georgia. They were courteous and timely.

Since we were out of town and from NYC no less where we usually walk everywhere or take mass transit, it was strange that everywhere you had to pay for parking and metered parking was scarce. Most lots are under $10 for the day. Ran into a Jay Z concert one day so "event " parking was at a whopping $20. We only stayed about 10 minutes to take pictures by the Ferris wheel and fountains so that was very very expensive. Pay in advance and park at the aquarium for just $8.00.

Upon check in, I wasn't thrilled with the room we were assigned, very narrow, tight space with a view of the gloomy top of buildings so asked to be reassigned with a courtyard view which they accommodated thankfully. I think otherwise, this would have felt like a completely different trip.

Request for rollaway bed is $10 a night bt dubs. The architecture was olden classic Spanish Mediterranean, top floor was the 3rd floor. I loved especially the big fountain flame they would have at night with the stringed lights. There was a wedding reception one evening. Beautiful. One of the main reasons I had chosen the Artmore, we had come south to get some engagement photos taken. There are grand cathedrals, nature, woods, gazebos, arches, cobblestone, trees, mansions, just jaw dropping architecture all around. It was perfect.

Really easy to print documents from their business center so we could plan out our days. Free wifi is offered in your room if you bring a laptop. Note when you use public computers, don't save confidential documents. We saw someone's tax return! Did them a favor and deleted it.

Had their buffet bkfst the last morning for $10/person. Perfect for the road. Had a toasted bagel with peanut butter and jelly, small bowl of oatmeal, couple turkey sausage links, scrambled eggs and tea/apple juice. Simple and warm, homey with all the holiday ornamental décor. Yes, it was essentially a low ceiling basement room but they tried to spice it up. Big screen TV with CNN news so you could catch up on the world.

Had dinner at the bar one night when we first arrived, it's just packaged goods they heat up and put on a real plate for you. It's okay. Would have been nicer if they mentioned there was a pizzeria just down the block open late but we got to chat with the bartender who was nice. Having the luxury of our own car meant we got to drive around whenever we wanted and in doing so, became more familiar with the neighborhood. Right off the 75/85, close to Peachtree street, very convenient to get around.

We forgot to pack many toiletries including contact solution so having the 24 hour CVS nearby was handy. I think we made almost 8 separate trips in the 4 days we were there.

Trying to think what else would be helpful. Apparently all the rooms in the hotel are a little different. Would definitely come back and try staying in a different one. =) We stayed in 309 which is a one bedroom loft with a downstairs "kitchen" and microwave. The heating/cooling worked great. Only issue was it would be too cool downstairs so we turned up the heat. But then it would be 86 degrees upstairs! Adjustments were easy enough to do and the system responded quickly so no biggie.

Thank you Artmore for making my first trip down to Georgia so memorable. I would recommend you to anyone and look forward to seeing you again!

As an Atlanta citizen, I know many hotels in this city, and this has to be one of my favourite. From the outside, it looks like a Best Western sorta, but in a good way. It has a beautiful, half mediterranean half mexican style that really pulls you in with its vibrant colours.
Once you enter, you are welcomed by a delightful inner patio with fancy seats and a fountain in the middle. It is a nice first impression, but wait, the lobby is also really nice. Simple, a lil bit small but just perfectly decorated and really glossy. The staff was very welcoming also, giving us an in-depth analysis of the hotel and the surroundings.
Then the rooms. This is the part that everything gets a little bit tricky. They are not gigantic rooms. They are rather small. Actually, didn't care. I fell in love immediately with the flashy pink and red colours, and the super cozy bed. And for the price, the value of this hotel, location and everything, is really a bargain.
Artmore Hotel is perfect for those whose definition of Luxury is different. Some people don't want huge marble bathrooms and a giant pool with 3 stores tall slides. They want something that you remember, something you enjoyed so much that both you and your wallet felt that they lived the swanky life. Artmore Hotel is one of the best hotels in Atlanta.

We like to travel to Atlanta for the New Year's holiday. Have stayed in the Marriott Midtown, all suits hotels since normally we travel with at least my youngest son, he is 11. At the last minute our daughter (22) decided to come also. I had reserved a one bedroom with a sofa bed so I was pretty sure we would be able to accommodate her also. We arrived on Friday the 27th and were greeted by a young man who told us to park in the front and asked about valet parking. We had decided to use the Lindbergh Station for parking so we were going to drop the kids and check in, leave to drop the car. Well even though the young lady who was checking us in, saw all of us she checked us in a room with one king bed. We had taken all of our luggage upstairs with us when we saw the room, we called and told them this is not the room we had requested. Prior to making reservations I called the hotel several times to inquire about what room would be best since we needed at least one sofa-bed and a king size bed, also 2 TV's. After a wait they found another room for us, downstairs they had a sofa, TV, kitchenette and upstairs there was a king bed and a very small bathroom. The room had issues like the condition of the sofa bed and mold under the window downstairs. The wall paper was peeling in several areas. The bathroom besides being small had issues like the shower door which could not be easily closed. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel was nice, just not super nice, we were there for 4 days and until the last day no one called us by our name. We had issues with housekeeping like no toilet paper left on 2 occasions, no toiletries on another day. Breakfast was part of our package and it was ok nothing spectacular but adequate. I really wanted to like this hotel after reading all the reviews here but I cannot recommend this hotel at this time.

Thought this boutique hotel was both worth returning to & recommending (already have). Room & bed were great, although bath a little cramped. Location excellent. We were notified to check out an hour early due to shut down of the water for plumbing problems, but that's to be expected with an older structure. However, check your room charges when you return home--a fee was added to ours after checkout for an item from the bar that we did not consume (they did explain it & delete it when I called).
