“Great Room, Great Service, A few Small Issues”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

We arrived - and as usual, they Hyatt kiosk didn't work. But that's ok, it's always nice to have a real person to talk to. The first room they gave us - we got there - it was an ice box, smelled like cigarette smoke and had a strong disinfecting odor. It's a non smoking hotel and clearly they were trying to cover up that someone had smoked. The hotel wasn't crowded - so I'm surprised they gave that room. But we went down and they had no problem in giving us a new room - and this room was fine.

Room wise - it's been redone - and like all Hyatt Place hotels, was very nice. If I had one complaint - and it comes from that the hotel is old - the layout isn't good. The room is a mini suite - with a partition between living and bedroom. The bathroom is in the bedroom - so if someone is sleeping, it can be disrupting.

Also, the floors / walls are thin - I'm glad the people above us were enjoying some adult fun - but - I didn't really need to hear it.

As for the breakfast, it was good. Many people asked for egg muffins minus the ham - so I'm surprised they don't have them that way as an alternative. Also, the yogurt - it's kind of gross - in a big bowl - but when i got there it was at the bottom. It's always better to have little containers - like yoplait - so i know it hasn't been breathed on. And the juice was on a frozen tray - vs. sitting in ice. The OJ...wasn't cold. But the breakfast IS BETTER than a Fairfield, etc.

The gym was very good - and so was the Internet connection.

Overall, a great property - with minor flaws.

Finally, it's a business hotel and weekends bring great rates!!!

I stayed here the past few days. The hotel is not centrally located. It is in the heart of a business district. They do provide shuttle service to get around and to/from you place of business if need be. The rooms were clean, everything worked. The staff was quite nice. Breakfast was decent and the food off the menu was good.

Room Tip: All of them seemed to be fine.

I was housed in one of the newly renovated rooms on the top floor. It was spacious and comfortable, with large windows, although there was a strong smell of the new carpeting. The color combination could also have been brighter for a more cheerful mood. The staff was very helpful at check-in and during stay.

Perimeter City is located just outside of Atlanta, about a 20-minute drive from downtown. We arrived late on Saturday night and got a room right next to the elevator and utilities room. Perhaps because of the room's location, the space was small. With the couch pulled out, there was hardly any space to walk around the couch and desk. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom and amenities are adequate. Toiletries provided were shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste. We stayed for four days and toiletries were replenished when they ran low. The breakfast buffet included fresh fruit and yogurt, hot oatmeal, muffins, bagels, bread for toasting, dry cereal, juices, milk, coffee and tea, and daily breakfast sandwich such as a ham/cheese/bagel or biscuit sandwich. Occasionally eggs or a cheese/egg/spinach on English muffin would be served. On weekends, there was sausage. There was usually a crowd later for breakfast and difficult to find seating. The hotel also provides the Wall St. Journal. The pool is outdoor and was closed when we visited because of cold weather. Service was attentive and courteous. There are nice neighborhoods and houses around Perimeter City. There is not a large selection of restaurants in the area, and they tend to close around 9-10 PM.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was well worth the money. It is a bit out of the centre so maybe not the first choice if you want to go sightseeing but there´s a mall and several restaurants closeby, so if you´re traveling further or just wanting to get away for the weekend it´s a good place to stay at. There´s plenty of parking space so you don´t have to worry you won´t find a spot.

The room was nice, spacious and clean with a "living room" & bedroom area, big shower and complimentary amenities. From what I noticed, wifi was available free for 24 hours (I dont know how it is if you´re staying longer ... as on the booking website it said it´s also complimentary. I´ve however connected with different devices and it always offered me a new 24 hour window).

Breakfast was more on a basic side for me but it was enough. You can always buy some snack, sandwiches or drinks from the reception.

Overall, if I was traveling through Atlanta in the future, I´d consider staying here again.

On a recent business trip to Atlanta my wife and I arrived at our hotel late and were very tired. When we entered our room and began to unpack, my wife noticed a humming sound coming from the refrigerator. She wanted to see if we could change Rooms because we had a busy day scheduled the next morning so I called the front desk to make them aware of the situation. Within ten minutes a member off their maintenance team was there with a new fridge and all was good in the world! Great job team!!!

This hotel is nice. The staff fell below my expectations. The manager was on vacation. Rooms were nice but bathroom was quite small. Limited space to hang towels or wash cloths. Great breakfast when they didn't stop serving early.
