Took the weekend to relax and unwind. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was tasty and the room was gorgeous. We were able to take in some sites and do a little shopping. And one of the staff recommended Uncle Julio's to us. It was great.

I was traveling with a group of friends and our goals were to sightsee and enjoy the nightlife in ATL. I have stayed at the Hyatt Place in a couple different cities and I thought this one was okay. I thought the king suite was on the small side but the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The free breakfast was good and well stocked. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Just a fyi if you looking to sightsee and experience the nightlife...you may want to stay in the downtown area, I found that everywhere we wanted to visit was at least a 15-20 minute drive, depending on traffic. But, this hotel was in a very nice area, close to restaurants and a mall.

I really enjoyed my hotel stay everything was clean and nice. Breakfast was the best because it was buffet and when I came down it was clean. At first I thought everyone were clean when they were getting food but actually the hotel was cleaning every few minutes and keeping the food stocked. But it was a great location: close to downtown by far enough away to pay cheaper prices.

Great staff at checkin - Great morning and early afternoon MAINT / Shuttle Driver.
Hotel room smelled funny - mildewy - and once air conditioning was turned up full blast (HIGH) and 60degrees - smell "disapated".

Two issues popped up:
1) Late afternoon shuttle driver was asked to get us to Enterprise rental car by 6:00pm. He DID have two ladies wanting to go to shopping mall - which although was in opposite direction - they appeared to be in no rush. It was 5:30pm and shuttle driver said "...let me take these women to the mall....you better call a cab - I wont rush to get back to you". hmmmmmmmmm

2) NO HOUSEKEEPING services after first night. After second night - I saw housekeeper outside my door cleaning room across hall. Although a language barrier - I handed her a SUBSTANTIAL TIP asking her to clean my room as soon as she could. She said NO and said she was going to do the one side of hall she was on - then do the other side (my side) later. Whats later???? Front desk notified - and wasnt able to get ahold of her on the radio.

BE SURE TO REQUEST LOW FLOOR. As with other reviewers - I was put on the 6th (top) floor. WIRELESS INTERNET is spotty at best - and connection frequently lost. Did most of more in lobby because - room was dirty - "patiently waiting" for room to be cleaned and the internet, at least in the lobby area was perfect.
