“Okay hotel, excellent restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2012

I was booked here by my work because it was more affordably priced than the Emory Conference Center Hotel next door. The Inn is really a serviceable place to sleep and bathe when you have business nearby; no frills, but a friendly staff. The lack of frills includes no wireless internet service. The rooms have an ethernet connection, but the supposed wireless connection in the lobby was so slow it was pointless. The biggest negative at the moment is the construction going on right next door. The noises (including forklifts beeping) started precisely at 7am and didn't stop until 5pm. The best feature of this hotel is the restaurant, Le Giverny. After an undercooked pizza at the conference center hotel the night before, I decided to splurge on the slightly pricey Le Giverny. It was, simply, amazing. Wonderful food, good atmosphere, and subtle, live music. Salad, entree, a glass of wine, and dessert was about $42, but worth every single penny.

Room Tip: Until the construction is complete, ask for a room as far away from it as possible, probably on the...

“Stayed at better, stayed at worse”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

We went to Emory University to check it out as my daughter will be attending college there. Stayed at the functional Emory Inn. Nothing special about this place, but for about $110 per night, the convenience of being next to campus made it bearable. Furniture was old; faucet on the sink was placed poorly, so that when you turned it on, the water ran onto the counter, unless you turned it up all the way; bathroom was small, small and smaller; free breakfast was coffee or tea with minimuffins;
Made reservations to stay next door at the Conference Center next time.

Room Tip: terrible phone and internet reception in rooms on first floor; don't know if better on higher fl...

“Nice, small, clean room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

The Emory Inn is an older property but well kept. The rooms are small, well-appointed, clean. There were two queen size beds, armoire that included TV, frig and drawers, desk, chair. The sink is in an alcove while the toilet and shower are in a separate room which is quite small and in need of some attention. The free Continental breakfast is truly small. There were only muffins, juice and coffee. The property is in the same complex as the Emory Conference Center, a newer, nicer property with a full dining room. Guests are encouraged to go to the Conference Center for a breakfast buffet for which there is a charge. Guests can also use the pool and work out room at this center. The staff at the Emory Inn is very good. Front desk was friendly and responsive. I left my wedding rings in the room one morning and they were there when I returned!!! Pretty amazing!

“The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012 via mobile

I have mixed feelings an I'm not clear whether I would consider to stay here ever again. I'll share some facts for next travellers' consideration:
The Good: its french restaurant is delicious and affordable, its location is amazing if destination is Emory or CDC and free shuttle service is offered, gym and swimming pool facilities of the Emory Conference Center are accessible with your room key card and staff is friendly and helpful.
The Bad: overpriced, wifi Internet connection was poor in the room (high-speed worked well)
The Ugly: room wasn't as clean as I would have liked and next day it wasn't arranged when I came back after a long day. Advice: Bring your own slippers as the carpet needed an extreme vaccuum cleaner (in my opinion carpets should be banned in hotel rooms anyways!)

“Neat, clean, no frills”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2012

This hotel is neat and clean. I had no issues at all with the room other than that it is very small. The male staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The shuttle drivers and concierge at the Emory Conference Center are excellent! Outstanding customer service.
