It's hard to review this restaurant because one item I got was delicious, but overall, we weren't impressed and wouldn't go back. My husband I visited this restaurant for dinner. The decor is very nice, but it is all wood (including chairs) with no fabric or upholstry to absorb some of the sound of the noisy business people eating and drinking there. Even though it wasn't crowded, the sound was deafening - definitely not recommended for a romantic or intimate dinner.
We started with a crab cake appetizer, priced ridiculously high at $12.50 for one small crab cake. The crab cake was of average flavor. We have had better at several restaurants for a lower price. It was attractively garnished (as was all the food), but an attractive garnish can't be substituted for good taste.
The restaurant also offered biscuits before dinner, which were of average, or perhaps slightly below average, taste.
My husband ordered the crab hash for his entree, for which he had high expectations. It was well-presented and generously portioned, but it was terribly bland. I ordered the appetizer portion of the chicken livers for my entree, which was delicious - tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I had mashed potatoes as a side, which were just plain mashed potatoes and, as far as I'm concerned, shouldn't even be on the menu of a gourmet restaurant.
We ordered the much-touted chocolate pecan pie for dessert, which was tasty enough.
