“Good wings, decent beer selection”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Padraic's is a go-to for wings and beer in Vinings. Wings are a touch better than most, beer selection is OK, not great. The rest of the menu is solid, but not outstanding. Overall a decent meal for a decent price.

“Solid eats”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

There's nothing great about Padriacs, but the food is solid and the establishment is a decent spot for something more upscale than your family friendly sports bar/tavern. The menu offers a nice variety with fairly extensive appetizers, including lobster nachos and crab mac and cheese cakes. None were "outstanding" although we found the inventiveness to be a nice touch. The execution is fine. We found the ribeye to be alright, but nothing special and fattier than necessary. The shrimp was well seasoned and tasty. The bacon wrapped chicken cordon bleu was satisfactory, but no wow factor. The meatloaf was a surprise in its moistness and tastiness.

The ambiance was pleasant enough. Our service was attentive and prompt, but a little lackluster in the personality department. I can't quite call it casual upscale here.... it was just too casual.

The menu is on the pricier side of things, but there's good value for most entrees. Padriacs is in a area where casual upscale dining is limited, so it makes a reasonable attempt to fill a void, but the void remains. An enjoyable meal, a bit costly, a bit too casual, and hit or miss with the entrees, but all around good enough.

“Great food, large portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Although pricey, the Lobster Nachos were very good. But the cajun shrimp was DELICIOUS! My Tilapia with crab meat was very good and enough for teo meals. Everyone at our able enjoyed their dinner. Please note, if you go on Trivia Night - do NOT sit in front of the speakers - the music is quite loud!! Service was friendly, but a bit slow. Lots and lots of beer choices!

“Convenient”

Reasonable priced and nice selection for lunch. Very close to Home Depot Corporate office.
popular after work as well. Bar usually quite busy.
Good location, right off 285.

“Service slow, beer stale”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Went there with friends, which automatically qualitfies you for getting the hefty 18% tipping charge.
That would not be so bad, but when you buy one of the draft beers that they serve, but obviously are rarely ordered, be prepared that they serve you a stale one without hesitation (bar keeper maybe at high school level 'know how' about what a draft beer should look like) .. So better stay with the Guiness(that was okay), if you have to go there.
Food ... takes time! The queso dip ... reminded us of Velveeta®.
The more weird one was the Caesar Chicken Salad - served with tomatoe slices - hhm, I know tomatoes are healthy - but they really don't belong on a CS ...
So if your not quite so happy with the service & food you might want to talk to the manager - don't bother he goes "friendly" with his special touch of 'I care about myself the most' to address your concerns.
So - I know there are plenty of better food and service choices within 1/2 mile of this restaurant!
