“Friendly Neighborhood Barbecue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

Stopped in at the Briarcliff Rd location (1 of 3 locations) for a quick bite on a Sunday afternoon. Just wanted to grab a sandwich and drink, but the owner turned out to be a nice guy, and had 5 minutes of friendly converation as well. He even warned me not to try to eat his ribs in the car on my way to the airport --too messy-- so he suggested the pulled pork sandwich instead. REALLY terrific. Juicy and flavorful. With a nice choice of sauces. He swore his beef brisket was also great--and would even have passed the test with his easern European grandmother. Will give that a try next time. AND if you only remember this place as "Dusty's" at the corner Briarcliff & Clifton Rd when it was under previous ownership--its ALL cleaned up now so don't be afraid to go.

“Real Atlanta BBQ!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

Always stop by for pulled pork sandwiches and sweet tea when I'm in the Atlanta area. Pulled pork cooked overnight and has a wonderful smoked flavor. Meat is tender and moist and with several choices of BBQ sauce, it's hard to go wrong. Casual atmosphere with outdoor seating if you want to kick back and relax...

“Dissapointed with our first try.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2010

After hearing some positive comments from a friend, we catered a small party with Pig-n-Chick today. The pulled pork had the distinct bitter taste of soot from a smothered fire, not smoke. Most of the meat was a bit dry and a bit tough. It was not cooked low and slow until tender. The hot sauce was mostly vinegar but the taste was pretty good. The Kansas City style sauce was pretty generic. The baked beans were very good. The hushpuppies were overcooked and had been fried in well used oil. They were also expensive given their small size. In Atlanta I compare all BBQ pork to Williamson Brothers in Marietta. Unfortunately Pig-n-Chick did not even register on the same scale.

I like the BBQ.......it wall pulled and the moisture content was good. The slaw was good but my least favorite part of the meal were the sauces. They have a vinegar based sauce to resemble NC BBQ........but it wasn't close.......way to sour, a mustard based which was OK, and then a traditional. I would give it a 4 Star if the sauces were more to my liking. I will definitely go back for another try.

“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2009

Can't say enough good things about it! Coleslaw and potato salad were fresh and home made. This is more of a Carolina style BBQ with 3 different sauces offered at the table. Hot Reg and mustard. All of it was good.
