This was my first visit to a McCormick and Schmick's and I will start out by saying that this was a ballgame evening at the nearby Georgia Dome, which may have impacted the place somewhat. We found the place to be about par with a decent mid-range seafood establishment on the coast. The food was good, but not "write home good". It wouldn't make my top 10 for seafood, but it wasn't bad. Sirloin steak was better than the seafood in my opinion and I would probably stick to that next time. No dinner salads - entrees come with asparagus instead. This isn't bad, but it will always deduct a point or so in my book. The bar area is very close to the dining room and it was absoluely raucous. Service was good, but the place was clearly understaffed for the busy evening and the floors were dirty, etc. Entree was supposed to come with creme broulee, but they ran out:-) I would give it another try knowing that the evening was atypical. But, first impression of the place is an attempt at fancy that fell short...give me a salad and baked potato:-) The location is great, right off of the CNN center and across from centennial park...about 2 blocks from the GA Dome. Expect decent food at upper-range coastal prices.
