“A trusty standby for seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

We have eaten at several McCormick and Schmick's restaurants in several cities, last visiting this particular one six or seven years ago. It's in a great location -- actually part of the CNN Center -- and we remembered a fine meal there before. Not disappointed this time, either. We enjoyed crab and corn chowder as an appetizer, followed by fried shrimp for me and parmesan flounder for my spouse. The chowder was rich and creamy. My shrimp were lightly battered (I could taste the buttermilk) and generously sized. The parmesan flounder was flaky and accompanied by colorful mixed veggies. She had an Irish coffee for dessert. I had peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream - a large serving that even I could not finish. It was a good meal, but understand that McCormick and Schmick's is not the place to get a quick bite. Service is leisurely, so expect to spend 45 minutes to an hour from seating until leaving. But, it's time well spent.

“Yummy food and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

I ate in the bar. The bourbon salmon was wonderful. The bar tender was very attentive. Great service. Can be very crowded when there is a convention at the Georgia World Congress Center so arrive early for lunch or dinner.

“Choose elsewhere.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013 via mobile

I assumed (wrongly) that this was a chain on par with Flemings or Ruth's Chris. Not so. Salmon was tough. Clam chowder ok, but nothing special.  Service slow, but pleasant. Chocolate cake dry. Not terrible, but not good either. Pick someplace else. Will not return. Ever.

“disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

this was a huge disappointment for us. While the service was so-so, the steak was only average as well and wasn't cooked properly. My husband prefers his steaks cooked Pittsburgh style. When the Waiter brought it out he said, I guess this isn't PIttsburgh style, is it? My husband ate it anyway. But when you drop 40.00 for a steak, you expect it to be cooked the way you request it. We also seemed to be always looking for our waiter. will not visit this chain again in any city. We'll stick to Ruth's Chris and Del Frisco's

“Nice steak - not great though”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Very stylish and very suave place - really enjoyed the place but as it was game night they were VERY busy and maybe that was reflected in my steak - nice, but not GREAT.
