Perfect location in the middle of Virginia Highlands, you may have to wait to get in, great management, wonderful to my mother in law, very tasty dishes.

“Still disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

This was our second visit to Murphy's. We were told we had to be there before 10:30 AM to get seated. We arrived at 9:20AM and were given seats in the tent where one side was cool and drafty and the other side of the chairs were heated. We ordered the white chocolate latte as a
drink and it had NO taste. We ordered many brunch items incliding their pork chop special and all had to be returned to the kitchen because they were too cold. (When I ordered I explained that I liked my food to come out HOT. We ordered corn beef hash and it was cut up squares
of corn beef with mashed potatoes over it. The manager was very nice and came over to explain there were not enough runners. We're going to try it once more for lunch and hope that will go better as the dinner we had last ime was just as bad.

“Been around for a long long time.... for a good reason!”

When you can't decide on where to go... Murphy's is a place everyone gets enthusiastic about going to. Plus... the price is quite reasonable!

“Fun birthday dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

We are from Chicago and went here with a group of six for my birthday while visiting Atlanta. This restaurant is located in the trendy area of Virginia Highlands and a local resident recommended it. The crowd was hip and energetic and the brick interior was warm and cozy. The service was outstanding and the food was equally good. The shrimp and grits, the brisket and the mussels all get a special shout out. The evening came to a perfect end when the entire waitstaff came out to sing me happy birthday with dessert. Highly recommend.
