“Just Okay - For Club Floor "Upgrade"”

I had stayed here previously in 2004 but I guess that my memory was a better experience from before. The Front Desk staff did not seem all that enthusiastic about their roles as the first contact the guests have with the property. Parking was previously right in front of the hotel, but now it is gated off and we had to park in a parking garage at a rate of $10.00 per night, and walk all the way around the building with luggage.

We upgraded to the Club Floor - but what a disappointment in comparison to all of the other Sheraton Club Floor experiences I have had in the past. This is by far the worst Club Floor I have seen. The evening hors d'oeuvre ended at 8 PM, one hour earlier than the last Sheraton Club Floor I stayed at one month ago in NC. Breakfast was a very poor excuse for the upgrade, in fact I have seen much more complete spreads at economy hotels. People were coming from floors that were definitely not Club Level floors and helping themselves to six pack soft drink bundles and loading up on all sorts of food carrying it out to non-Club Floor levels. The Club Floor staff was not watching or friendly to their customers.

This property looks very dated and is in desperate need of an updated/upgraded overhaul (more than just wallpaper and paint). It looks like they have tried, but the decor does not cover up the age of the facility.

I will continue to stay at Sheratons, but definitely not this particular one!

No Problems .Shuttle to and from airport was excellent. Only stayed one night. The front desk was very helpful dealing with one lost bag. Delta had the bag delivered to the hotel within 6 hours.I would stay again.Hotwired for about 75$.100% non-smoking.

Stayed here courtsey of Delta airlines so I guess you get what you pay for. the room was nice and the bed comfortable the only problem was the total lack of towels which made the morning shower an intresting propersition. I mentioned this to the front desk as I checked out and the person behind the counter who spoke little english assured me that this was OK. Was not OK from my perspective but we all see the world differently. Other than the lack of towels and the hard time communicating with the front desk this is a good place near the airport to spend the night.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 6 days and must say I was very pleased with the size of the room, the cleaniness, and the good housekeeping. The hotel did have a lot of activity going on, with lots of people, but the elevators were fast and clean. The location was very good for getting to downtown shopping in about 20 minutes. The restaurant in the hotel was nice and always had room for all 3 meals if you wanted it. I can strongly recommend this Hotel with a good price and location comparedf to those in downtown Atlanta.

I stayed overnight at the Sheraton Gateway Atlanta. On the outside, the hotel looks like a veteran hotel with a nice lobby. I had a little wait for a front desk person (What's the use of having a Starwood Perferred Gold status if they have one line?), but when I finally checked in it was smooth and I was upgraded to a club floor. The elevators and halls were old with noticably worn carpeting, buttons and everything in-between. The room furnishing themselves seemed old, but the worse part was the window. It was not tight and sealed with tape to the frame. The tape was starting to come off - it seems it's been there for a while. The beds were old and had a "metal spring" feelings to them - couldn't have a good night's sleep. Throughout the stay, whenever I interacted with staff it was excellent and obvious they value good service.
All in all - disappointing, I wouldn't go back before the hotel goes through a major renovation which would probably be a while.

Great place to stay if you have an early morning flight out of Atlanta.
Parking available for your car while on your trip. Daily parking rates comparable with commercial lots.
Shuttles to airport run about every 20 min.

Very close to ATL.
Rooms fairly spacious and clean but beds quite uncomfortable.
Not many amenities included. Internet, fridge etc all cost extra.
Bedroom curtains don't close all the way and large gap under door means room doesn't get very dark.
