The location was perfect for our convention center events. The hotel is clean and the employees ate all friendly and helpful. The bar inside the lobby has good drinks and the restaurant (Champions) also has a good menu selection of food.

We stayed at the Gateway after our wedding on April 20. Two days before the wedding, a representative called to confirm our stay and asked what was the occasion. I told her it was our wedding night and that we would be leaving early the next morning to catch a flight. She told me congratulations and that she would have something special for us when we arrived. Little did we know, we got upgraded to the presidential suite and had a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting on us. The staff was very nice. The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautiful. I felt like royalty staying here. I highly recommend.

Getting to/from the airport was a cinch on the skytrain. From the moment we stepped in the door of the Marriott on Friday night to Sunday morning, the entire staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean, inside and out. The king sized bed we had in our room was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The room was quiet, too. Great for the R&R we so desperately needed.

For dinner on Friday night, we went to Simon's in College Park. The food and the service were excellent. We could not be tempted to have dessert, though the cakes were 10" high by 10" across, made fresh on the premises. Each slice is at least 16 oz. each!

Saturday morning, we ventured to the exercise room, which was more than adequate and clean. We chose the buffet breakfast afterwards . . . a bit pricey. However, the service was friendly, and the food was fresh, hot, delicious.

Off to Atlanta! Getting into/out of the city was a breeze on MARTA. We were amazed at the escalators at the Peachtree station. Holy cow! They were the longest, steepest I've ever seen. We trekked to the Aquarium from there. For two people it was $80 and the show, included in our ticket, was for three hours after we arrived; didn't stay for that. Massive crowd with tons of kids running/screaming. We went to Meehan's Irish Pub for a late lunch. Great food. Great service.

Saturday evening, we attended a friend's birthday party where they had buffet-style serving. The food was exceptional. The peach cobbler was to die for!

Sunday morning, though we didn't want to leave the coziness of our bed, we had to leave to go home. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is the second time I have stayed here on a layover from overseas travel. It is convenient to get to from the terminal via the skytrain. The room was ready, staff friendly and the bed was heavenly after a 16hour flight from Sydney Australia. I had a late flyout the next day and the staff were able to let me have the room until 2pm which was very much appreciated.

Stayed 1 night on a stopover after a mid evening long haul arrival. Easy to get to using the sky train, few mins from airport. Lovely modern reception/welcome/bar area at the impressive entrance to the hotel. Room was clean, quiet and had everything we needed for a brief stay. Room service food quite pricey but was quick. One negative would be that wifi wasn't free in the room. Would definitely chose to stay here again for similar stopover. Perfect for picking up rental car next morning-next stop along on the sky train.

What a fab hotel, arrived on domestic flight, straight out of terminal and onto the Skytrain to the hotel, so convenient. Was greeted at reception and handed the key to the room. Room was very spacious for my son and I with Queen double beds each. The room has all the facilities required for a stay, coffee making, iron & board, hair dryer, Internet access at a fee, Flat screen TV. The windows are quadrupled glazed so very little noise from the planes. Internet access is available in the lobby area free and there is a Business Centre with 3 computers linked to Internet for free. You can also check in online in the lobby too for any flight out of Atlanta, this was great for me. The staff are very friendly and amenable. Food in the bar and breakfast were both good. We used the MARTA to get into Atlanta cost $5 return ticket, only takes about 20 mins. You can collect your hire car by using Skytrain, this is an excellent service. This hotel is great value and it's location is superb if using the airport. Thanks Marriott Gateway and all your staff who made our 3 day stay memorable.

I stay here because of the convenience of parking and taking the tram to the airport. I am beginning to question if it is worth it. This is the third year we have flown out of Atlanta for Spring Break and evidently, this is the same time that a Fraternity/Sorority of some sorts has a "to-do". I don't mean college. These are grown men and women ACTING like they are in college. Running up and down the halls, sounds from the room next door were down right embarrassing. We called the front desk THREE times and it NEVER stopped. We had an early morning flight so we were up at 5:00 and they were still going. Front desk never did anything to stop it or couldn't control them, not sure which. But, before I stay there again mid-late March, I will first ask if that group is there.
