“If delicious and snack had a baby”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

This is your typical doughnut shop with one difference- the variety is crazy.

I walked in expecting a typical selection of doughnuts, but I was astonished and pleased to see that the options were stellar. From s'more to red velvet cake and chocolate lava cake.

Definitely a cool spot to check out when you are downtown!

“Nothing out of the ordinarily.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

I had been wanting to try Sublime for a long time and finally got the chance. The flavors sound amazing when read on their website, but I was very underwhelmed after trying them. The doughnuts themselves were very average. The ones I ate actually seemed to almost be on the stale side. Not old tasting, just as if they had been made maybe 12 hours prior. They didn't seem any different than a doughnut you might get from Dunkin.

The toppings/flavors, which are really the novelty of these particular doughnuts were good, but not anything that you couldn't do on your own. I suppose I expected that the doughnuts might actually have the flavorings mixed into the dough before cooking. In the end they were a standard doughnut which was then topped with items you could typically have at your home. Some examples would be peanut butter cups broken, Nutella spread, peanut butter or marshmallow squirted, or Oreo sprinkled over the finished product. These are examples in the ones I tried.

Overall they were no better than an average doughnut from anywhere else, but now you add the premium price and it can be a little disappointing. I felt I could buy a dozen doughnuts from Dunkin Donuts for half the price, and then top them with products from home for 10 minutes and have the same finished product.

I can't say they were terrible, or even bad. Just not above average for doughnuts you can get from the big chains.

“Yum!”

The strawberry and cream doughnut is delicious. Pieces of real strawberries inside and not too sweet.

“Unique little donut shop.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

If you are looking for a unique place for breakfast this is it. This tiny little shop has some really interesting combinations in donuts. The strawberry shortcake is my favorite. Be careful on your choices because some might put you in a sugar coma, but definitely is worth it. The eating area is very small and interestingly decorated. We always choose to get our donuts to go.

“Coffee and a donut”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Cool place, clean, fun and nice service...polite. Coffee and donut excellent. A little pricey though, but I see that everywhere now.
