Owner description: This stunning, porcelain-enameled building was designed by famed architect Richard Meier and is rivaled only by the art inside. Featuring American, European and African art, as well as decorative art and photography, the High Museum boasts a permanent collection of over 11,000 pieces, many of which can be viewed from different levels of the four-story, glass atrium.

“Go have a High”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

It's possible to spend hours in this beautiful place and not see all there is that can educate you. Saw the "Girl with the Pearl Earing" there and was really surprised to learn the details about it.

“Love This Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Getting to see The Girl with the Pearl Earring was certainly a highlight. This museum is so open and easy to get around. The architecture alone is worth a visit. There is a special area for children that is fun for them to explore. Parking is adjacent or a short walk from the MARTA.

“Must see in Atlanta!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Such an excellent, vast museum. Classical art to folk to modern. Really a tremendous collection. We were there for 4 hours, but could have easily spent 2 days! We will definitely go back next time we are in Atlanta.

“Delightful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We watch for special exhibits, and they do a nice job with them. Don't miss "The Girl with a Pearl Earring," before it ends this month. The audio guide is excellent for both adults and kids. Also, be sure to visit the Folk Art gallery -- great collection!

“the girl with a pearl earring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013 via mobile

What can I say? I was bummed out before I went to see this exhibit, but left there feeling that humanity had redeemed itself. This exhibit is simply wonderful. In an age when technology can change any imperfection in a photo, this exhibit of paintings from the 1600's reminds me that artists and their works are there to help us deal with real life in ways we had not imagined. Love, love, love this exhibit.
