“Got It All”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

I ate at the Shed on a Saturday night. I couldn't have been more satisfied. First, we were 30 minutes late (called to inform them) because of our hotel valet (took 45 minutes to get the car). Cindy, the owner, was not only understanding; she gave us a better table! Ian, our waiter was knowledgeable and provided excellent service. Our treatment and the ambiance quickly erased the hassle of trying to get the car. Best of all, however, was the food. I shared the cheese plate with a friend, followed by an arugula salad, the duck breast, and banana pudding! All were excellent! The Shed is definitely worth a visit!

“Now Fried Chicken on Wednesdays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Fried Chicken used to be the special once a week delicacy that would grace the menu of the Watershed in Decatur. They moved and the tradition was lost, but not now! The Shed at Glenwood with their Wednesday specials has added an amazing fried chicken and sadly enough it is only available on Wednesdays. It far exceeds the old Watershed fried chicken and should be a must if you are an ATL foodie. Don't just go there for the chicken though, they have the BEST wine list in the city and better still they have a selection of $20 bottles on Friday and Saturday that have never disappointed. The Shed is one of my all time favorite Atlanta Restaurants!

“Super pleased”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

My mom and I decided to pop over to The Shed on a Sunday night. We were pleasantly surprised that reservations would not be needed because of a light crowd. We were immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant snd given a choice between a table or banquette - super appreciate the option! The host said our server would be right with us, and he was within 30 seconds! He was armed with a popcorn dish - interesting take on bread service. It is just popcorn, but not stale and the right amount of salt and where I may have eaten some bread and felt guilty, we ate all the popcorn with no shame so I approve.

Our server was very knowledgeable and offered clear opinions when asked (nothing worse than hearing: "everything on the menu is fantastic." Doubtful and not helpful). We ordered the beet salad, the lamb short rib, the chicken liver pate, the turnip ramps and grits large plate, and the duck carrot and ginger beignet large plate. However, we started with an amuse of tomato bisque. I love an amuse and I love soup - so an excellent way to start the meal. The two stars were the short rib and pate. The short rib had a flavorful sauce and then you get lamb taste and melt in your mouth texture. The fennel and yogurt sauce accompanying it made the dish very composed. The pate had such a innovative presentation with the pate in a cup, grilled brioche toast fingers and a ginger caramelized onion chutney. Sooo tasty! The beet salad was very good but nothing out of the usual like the other two small plates. The duck was very good (particularly with the chutney), the carrot puree surprisingly stealing the show. The turnip dish was good but the proportions were heavily grits to ramps/turnips.

Overall, service was excellent and FAST! The food was very tasty and there was no guilt with our order because of the emphasis on vegetables and sauces. Definitely would return ... We were told lamb belly is sometimes on the menu --- yum! Gotta try that!

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Just discovered the Shed through some friends. The food was sublime and the service was supreme. Took out of towners there and they were also very impressed. Plan to go there again soon.

“A local's joint, but trip-worthy for all ATL foodies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

The Shed is a neighborhood gem, but that's only because the locals are lucky. This place is destination worthy for any ATL farm-to-table foodie fans. The service is friendly and professional and you can always see the owners working the floor. Great specials every night of the week. My favorite is the $20 wine bottles on Friday and Saturday nights. Tues/Thurs are $12 for a dozen of oysters + beer. Wednesday is now fried chicken night, which one of the specialities of the new chef, Todd. Do not miss the amazing Tuna Crudo when it is on the menu.
