“Top Notch Service, so so rooms”

Walking into the St Regis it has a classic and regal feeling. The service is what you would expect at a 5 star hotel and reflects service I've experienced at other St Regis hotels. The staff really pays attention to details and even sent up chocolate covered strawberries as my husband and I were there celebrating. We got a room with a balcony that was large enough to sunbathe on however I would skip the upgrade next time because it faced a loud and noisy parking garage. Not much of a view. Where I was disappointed was in the upkeep of the room. The carpet was torn out from along the edge of the wall, there was mold in the shower, and at night there was a loud whistling caused from a pressure difference between the balcony door and the hallway door which does not make for a great nights sleep. These are all minor things but for a five star hotel and the price of a room they are hard to ignore. On a positive the bathtub is incredible it is so deep you can swim in it and opens up to the TV so you can take a bath and watch a movie or read, and the beds are very comfortable with plush pillows. This is a good hotel if you like amenities such as spa (which we also enjoyed), gym, pool and you cannot beat the service the entire staff provides.

Great facility, beautiful, lavish decor and comfort.
This place needs the Ritz company to run it to make this nice hotel totally awesome.
Breakfast was a total flop, It would have been better at a waffle house.
The only way to get ice in the room is to call the butler and wait 10 mins.

Stayed here a second time, this time in a St. Regis (aka deluxe) Suite. These rooms are very comfortable, in corner positions, with a large living area separated fully from the bedroom, and a very large and luxurious bathroom. There are large windows with lots of light, and the view is pleasant but not remarkable. Excellent service as before, so formal sometimes though that it seems less warm. Do try the St. Regis macarons (the small mini-sandwich cookies) - they are delicious here. One thing to keep in mind about the St. Regis - everything in the hotel is expensive. The value for money for room service, movies, food, bar, etc is low because of the high cost! If money is no object, splurge away :) But if value matters, look for a great deal on your room, enjoy the lovely hotel, and explore surrounding restaurants for food. If staying with a family, there is a whole foods across the street (literally across the street) where you can get snacks for the kids.

My husband and I had an opportunity to combine a 26th wedding anniversary with the opening of a terrific retrospective of one of our favorite artists at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia. Where to stay? I'm often in the usual hotels for business travelers in Atlanta, so wanted to have a more intimate, luxury experience for such an important milestone. As lovers of the St. Regis in New York, the St. Regis in Atlanta was an obvious choice. From the first moment we were in the hotel, we knew we'd made the right decision. All of the hotel staff were charming, solicitous, and thoughtful. The room and bathroom were superb -- clean, comfortable, and luxurious. Perfect for a romantic getaway. The food in the limited restaurant spaces was fantastic and excellent value, very large quantities for reasonable prices, beautifully served. It's located in the middle of upscale Buckhead, with a Whole Foods across the street if you want to catch a quick wholesome bite outside the hotel.

We would highly recommend it. We got a lovely package deal, and they have them reasonably frequently -- grab one!

Just stayed for first time in this elegant hotel. I had been there several times before for conferences and drinks. This is essentially a place for business travelers. The quality of the furnishings and decor is evident but it lacks real warmth. there are loads of conference rooms but just one bar and restaurant. We had a standard king room which was well appointed and large. But it did not have anything special. There is construction of a building adjacent to the hotel so sleeping late was difficult due to the noise. And despite the high tariff they still charge for internet access which I think is just chintzy. The staff from reception to bar staff to room service were all very nice. And they have a chauffered Mercedes which will give you free rides in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the construction.

I travel on business nearly every week. St. Regis hotels are typically excellent and the St. Regis Atlanta is no exception. The staff was courteous and efficient. Everyone was very interested that my entire experience, from Check-in to getting me in a cab for my return to the airport, was a happy one.

The room was beautiful, well appointed, and had a few of the amenities you expect at a higher-end hotel. From the deep, sunken tub to the TV in the vanity mirror, every touch improves the quality of the stay.

The bed and pillows were bright and comfortable and the linens didn't suffer from that aged look found in too many hotels that don't throw away sheets frequently enough.

Spent another weekend get-away at the St. Regis and still have rave reviews for this stately hotel. The service was once again attentive and gracious. The only downside was that I couldn't get a coffee-maker in my room, but had to call the "butler" in the morning. I appreciate personal service, but like privacy first thing in the morning without having to wait on someone to bring me coffee. Other than that, great hotel!
