I will not stay at this hotel again.

I normally stay at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead for the same price I paid for this Westin, and had to stay here for a recent convention. To spare you from a really long entry, here is a list of issues with this hotel that you should NOT find at a 4-5 star hotel in a major metro area:
- The elevators are a nightmare! It always took a minimum of 10 minutes of waiting before an elevator became available to take me to my floor or the lobby. At the especially busy times, it took well over 25 minutes for me to get to my room.
- Bathroom was extrememly small. This is because each room is shaped like a pie wedge, with 24 rooms completing the circular shape of the hotel. At the small end of the pie wedge is your bathroom, which is TINY. 2 People will not fit in the bathroom.
- The associate at check in was not pleasant and did not have a smile on her face.
- The air conditioning system was inconsistent, loud, and made an even louder noise every time it turned on. I had a horrible nights sleep.
- The TV remote control worked 50% of the time.
- The room cleaning staff did not even take the time to put the ironing board and iron back in the closet. (this happened 2 days in a row)
- The rooms are somewhat dirty, with a stain on my chair and comforter.
- My cordless phone did not work.

I am an avid Westin customer, but this Westin is a mess. Built in the 70's, it needs a MAJOR overhaul. Spend your hard earned money at a different hotel.

I truly am surprised at the other positive reviews of this hotel - as some of my complaints cannot be changed. (i.e. - small bathroom, horrible elevators, heating/air system)

Wow what fabulous views, we were on the 49th floor, fabulous views by day and stunning at night.

Huge double bed really comfortable with quilts and plenty of pillows. Ensuite a bit small, but you don't spend all your time in their with those views, Double shower heads that you can set to suit you, for the perfect shower.

Complimentary coffe, which you can ask for more if you need, with a fridge in the room.

Beware of the mini bar and in-room internet conection costs. For those with wi-fi there are free hot spots in the bar/cafe/reception areas.

Well worth a trip up the scenic lift to the 72nd floor for viewing or a visit to the rotating resturant, where you will find beautifully served food, but don't expect the typical American super size.

Good tip to book a table in advance if you want to treat yourself.

Thanks so much for the great adventure. I enjoyed a great uneventful stay at the Peachtree Plaza. The room was wonderful and attentiive I never had to ask for anything. All the room supplies were abundant and well placed. The food was excellent. Even with the large attendance at the Thomas P. Hinman dental meeting the service was promt and effecient.

The Westin was fabulous. After spending the night before at the Regency Suites hotel, and quite literally getting no sleep there due to noise from rude guests & construction, we fled to the Westin. They were very kind in allowing us to check in 3 hours early, so we could catch up on our rest! The decor is lovely. Bathrooms are a little small, but the fabulous views & service, certainly compensate for that. If we are ever in Atlanta again, we will surely return.
