“Had a nice time.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Had a very nice time at The Embassy Suites last week. Lots of things to do very close by and love the managers coctail party.Staff were all very friendly and helpful in answering questions. One negative. 29.00 per night to park at the hotel! Rooms were clean and quiet with an abundance of hot water! Yea!!!

We stayed here the weekend of CHEERSPORT Nationals (feb 15-feb 17). It is literally next door to the Georgia world congress center so we had our eye on it last year for sheer convenience. Is also right next to world of coke and the aquarium. The room was clean and well maintained. We had no issues with the bedding, facilities, bathrooms etc. they were all very nice. The kids were bummed that there was no pool (well, there is but it's on the roof and not exactly swimmer friendly in Feburary) they could use. The breakfast in the morning was not quite what I've come to expect from embassy suites. The made to order omelets were good, but some of the other selections seemed a bit thin (muffin choices especially, it looked like muffin crumb carnage in the basket) and the pancakes taste like they're frozen ones that are just warmed up and put in the warming pan. The toasters are the slowest toasters known to man. a wuick trip to walmart to rellace them would be a ood suggestion. The friendliest person in the restaurant was the busboy who always had a smile and a "have a fabulous day" the omelet guy wasn't terribly friendly but I think we were spoiled by the ES omelet man in Cleveland, Ohio. The valet parking guys did not communicate with the front desk to add that to our bill so we were held up trying to leave so they could go attend to their oversight....that's better than our friend with the valet parking though...they lost his BMW. Not even kidding. They parked it somewhere and didn't write it down. They found it 12 hours later (gratefully they'd tried to go out to dinner and weren't trying to leave when the valet guys realized they had no idea where his car was). But, we didn't have issue like that, they found our car and produced it even before they were done adjusting the bill with my husband inside.

All in all, it's location means its pricey. It was worth it for the location, but the breakfast wasn't worth the price of the hotel and the valet parking (if you're a car they lost) is not worth it. I'm an embassy suites die hard fan and i'd say this one is Probably priced about 50-75 more a night than what I think it's worth...but again, location is everything. If we return to cheersport again next year (and its not booked...which happens quickly for that weekend) well likely stay here again for that reason.

The hotel was in a great location for my purposes. Contrary two some previous reviews, I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was first-rate. There was a Ruth's Chris in house. Even the nightly happy hour was a pleasant surprise. You get two free drinks and some snacks in a nice atrium setting. The room was clean and well laid out with the exception of the undersized bathroom.

Hotel rooms need renovation - was given a room with a sink you'd find in a gas station restroom - very small. Also had a shower head wand that is too low for anyone taller than 6'. Location is great by the park and the pool outside is great.

Room Tip: my room may have been accessible - try to avoid at all costs

The location is great. The room layout is very good. The complimentary breakfast and evening drinks are nice. Cable and wireless are great. Bathroom products (Crabtree and Evelyn) are nice. I wish the pillows were firmer and toilet paper was softer. I usually stay at bed and breakfasts, but this was a business trip and arranged for by the client. Overall, it was a very good place to stay.

The location is convenient to the Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Park. The front desk staff was very attentive and friendly. Enjoyed meeting all the 49er fans. As guests we should not have to pay for parking.

Located next door to Centenial Park and next to Coke Museum and CNN Center, staff was friendly and breakfast buffet is pretty nice, fresh omelletes, and fresh fruit, pancakes, potatoes and yogurt, they offer manager reception in evening with free drinks, we got quite a few, snacks at reception are minimal but its a nice gesture, the bar at the steakhouse in hotel closes early, but there is a lot of bars next door down by the arena, watch out for panhandlers around the hotel, there were quite a few, just walk by them they seem harmless its just a problem for Atlanta, not the hotel's problem, the hotel called us a cab to airport and let us have a really late check out the last day (stayed two nights) and that was appreciated alot, nice business center to print your boarding passes, internet in room is a small charge so we didn't use it in the room
