“You Get What You Pay For”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Stayed at this property over the July 4th weekend and if i would have did my research to know that there was a marathon that weekend i would have most def choose another hyatt to stay at. I enjoy being a starwoods member and not to jump on the bandwagon with most of the other reviewers but i have to be honest! This by far has to be one of the least favorite hyatt's that i've stayed at. The elevators are so slow that i decided to take the steps most of the times i left and came back to the hotel. I was located on the sixth floor. Not much of a view so if your a person that loves rooms on a high floor save your request there is NOTHING to see. Bathrooms are almost comically small! You literally can't shut the door here unless you step into the shower! LOL! This particular weekend they were pretty busy and just with my luck i was on the same floor as a family and their kids. Baby crying early in the morning and they would wake up at the crack of dawn can hear through these walls since they are basically paper thin. On the positive side the staff was actually pretty courteous and professional i will say. Also the complimentary cont breakfast they offer is awesome. Free parking and wifi! You can't really find that sort of thing at ANY hotel in Buckhead which is a prime location! Phipps Plaza within walking distance as well as Lenox mall. I would stay again if i was traveling on a budget..

Let me start by saying that I have stayed at Hyatt Place all across the country. As a mater of fact it was the hotel of choice because I have always had a positive experience.

Did a one night stay at this Buckhead location booked through Hotels.com and arrived at 6:30 PM. We were told in a not so nice way our room was not ready and we were 5th in line for when one was ready but they would give us a piece of thawed out frozen cheese cake if we wanted.

We went out to dinner and did get a room when we returned at 9:30PM. This location is VERY WELL USED. Our room on the 2nd floor was standard layout but the carpets was stained in several spots, just plain dirty, the TV remote was broken, the bathroom door would not shut and the handle on the bathroom door was detached from people yanking on the sticking door. The bathroom was so small you had to step into the shower to close the door. Lastly, the bed was so old and broken down it was like sleeping on a wave. This is not the standards I have come to expect from Hyatt Place.

The elevators worked but so SLOW. I used the workout room and that was small but had OK equipment.

We DID NOT receive out bill under the door but had to go down to the deck upon no one even asked about how the stay was. This was the most telling part, they have a staffing and management issue at this location. The people working here just don't seem to care and it shows.

I will think twice about Hyatt Place in the future. I would NOT recommend this location.

Stayed here on a trip back from the beach for a night and had to change rooms since the first one was still dirty, complete with hair in the sink and a straight pin in the carpet. They moved us down the hall and although the bathroom and sink were actually clean the floor looked like it hadn't seen a vacuum in weeks. It would have been a decent hotel but that was just bad and being put next to the ice maker and elevators did not make for a restful sleep.

If you do stay here make sure to ask for a room away from the ice makers and elevators as we could hea every time someone filled their bucket, even at 3am.

Stayed here for 3 nights during a conference. This hotel is in a perfect location on Peachtree road ; a few blocks away from Marta, Lenox square mall and tons of nice restaurants. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms are very spacious. The continental breakfast kept you full til noon. My room was on the 7th floor, so I didn't hear any of the noise some of the reviewers noticed on the 1st floor. My only reason for not rating this hotel excellent is the fact that there wasn't any body lotion/face cleanser available in the bathroom as it usually is standard in most hotels. Also the AC was quite loud while on. I would recommend this hotel. It's a convenient stay.

We chose this hotel because of the amenities: free wifi, excellent complimentary breakfast and free parking. It is close to downtown (10-15 minutes). The reviews were right on. Staff were courteous and friendly, hotel was clean and modern. Most definitely will be back.

This hotel is in a good location (Buckhead) and it has a nice modern look and feel to it. My room was extremely clean and plenty big....and just very comfortable overall. One thing I can't speak to is some comments by others about noise at or around the first floor. My room was on the 7th floor (of 8) and extremely quiet. My experience down on the first floor (check in desk, coffee/breakfast area) was good...
