“Budget Buckhead”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

Big, comfortable and quiet room in a hotel that isn't really close by to much. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Atlanta is a the sotrt of place that is frustrating if you don't have a car. However, the hotel does put on a one-mile radius shuttle every 30 minutes. This can take you to the MARTA train station, other hotels and various malls. Breakfast was part of my package, and it was a simple but very good buffet. Overall, it was a good deal for the price.

I was there for 7/4 just one night. Very close from Atlanta International Airport. Bus driver to hotel stuff were all wonderful. Entrace to breakfast room has been up dated and clean however elevator to hall way need extra clean up. Spots and small trash everywhere. Room was big enough to accommodate off 4 of us. Two double bed and sofa bed in separate living area. Restaurant right behind property "Ruby Tuesday" and front desk had coupon for 25% off.
Choice of breakfast was good.

Room Tip: We had a room facing oposit from Airport. Some people not liking noise of air craft taking off and l...

We have stayed the 3rd time in this hotel before we went back home to Europe. The hotel is convenient located in the North of Atlanta and there are several Restaurants (Gordon Biersch, Maggianos) and Shops in walking distance.
The staff is so friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. You can leave your car in the parking lot next to the hotel and if you want to go to town you just take Martha. We will definitely come back.

Room Tip: ask for a room in the upper florr.

We stayed at this hotel in April after searching for hotels in Atlanta by their TripAdvisor ratings. We decided that, since we were with kids, we would look in Buckhead rather than downtown. We were very pleased with the space in the room as well as the value and cleanliness of the property. The only downfall at all is that parking is adjacent to hotel. We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: All rooms are suites and we did not hear any outside noise.

This Hyatt Place is definitely a good bargain. For 89 dollars, I had a big clean comfortable suite-like room (although the bathroom is small). The free breakfast is fair if you don't mind to eat standing or in a cramped part of the lobby.
Staff was nice and efficient although this is one of these minimal staffed property where the front desk clerk is also taking care of the breakfast and some other duties as well.
The free covered parking is not physically connected to the hotel but just next to it.
Located near the huge Lenox Mall and with many restaurants around.

We stayed her in mid-June. Our room was on the second floor, 3rd from the elevators on the left. Free parking is nice and the cost was reasonable, but the 2 nights we stayed there the noise was such that despite wearing ear plugs I didn't get more than an hour of sleep at a time. The elevators make a horrible clunking noise that is very noticeable and startling at times. Also, the layout of the rooms has the bed next to the door and the noise from the hallway (other room doors slamming shut, people talking in the hallways) was also quite loud. Across from the bed is the door that adjoins the suite to the room next door and at one point, the conversation in the room beside us was so audibly loud, I turned on the TV to drown out the conversation. The layout would be much better if the bed was further from the door and the couch/sitting area was nearer the room entrance. Also, the bathroom layout leaves much to be desired. There isn't a towel rack near the sink in the bathroom or shelving upon which to put makeup/personal care items--we had to put some things on the top of the commode. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable and the hotel is within walking distance to many shops and great restaurants. The coffee shop downstairs was nice and the free breakfast was good and had plenty of options. I doubt we'll be staying there again, however, unless we had a room at the far end of the hall next time. If you're a light sleeper (although, my husband can sleep through any thunderstorm and even he was startled at times by the elevator noise), be sure to ask to be placed farthest away from the elevator.

By luck, I have booked this hotel three times on Priceline using their "name your own price" feature and have paid $50 a night each time. I loved the fact that there was free overnight parking with the hotel and that it is in walking distance of so many great restaurants and shopping. The rooms are typical Hyatt Place rooms with great beds, a nice seating area, a microwave, refrigerator, etc. The flatscreen television is large and well-placed. The lobby is a beehive of activity with a small bar, place to eat breakfast, and Starbucks counter. In short, it has everything you need for a day or two. I like this hotel well enough that I now book it directly when I go to Atlanta and need to stay in the Buckhead area. I have stayed in the nicest hotels in Buckhead, and I like this one better because it's easier on the pocketbook. The staff is friendly, and it's very easy to unload your luggage and take your car to the parking garage.
