“how does one build a museum based on one single product!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

Coke does it again, it can build a multi level museum to display one product, and make it interesting and entertaining for anyone to spend at least half a day to be marketed captively and yet, coming out of the museum and say WOW.

20 years ago, I visited the old museum. I was impressed by the six story high building which took tourists to descend from the top of the building to go through the displays, and then visit the sample stations of the multi flavoured FANTA drinks. Best of all, there were streams of flying coke in the air shot from a fountain jet to a cup that was so perfectly positioned that the pop stream just landed in it and filled it up for us to sample.

the new coke museum is just like the old less the flying streams, except that it is a lot bigger, and the architecture is more modern. there are still the international ads that are so well made that they all should be award winning. I sat in the ad room for over an hour just watching ads--ads that have brought back a lot of memories of one's life in the past decades, little have we realized Coke has always been with us in their television campaigns, the ads make us recollect where we have been in our past years. I enjoy this ad theatre greatly.

there is also the Disney produced 4D theatre that offers 3D and dynamic theatre seat with multi sensory experience which I think is very well presented. it is amazing that Coke offers such a wild ride for the sake of marketing its product to us.

There is of course the whole journey of self guided tour of historical milestones of Coke, the secret formula vault, how the bottling works where you can see how coke is bottled and the end product of the classic glass bottle is actually what we will receive as a souvenir.

there are so many little things to see that one can easily spend a couple of hours just to take the tour not to mention the time spent in the 4 D ride and watching the international ads in the theatre.

if you go there in the morning (they open at 10am), perhaps you may want to do what I did. At noon, I asked for a pass to return to the museum, then I walked to the CNN centre to have my lunch at the food court which is at the CNN centre atrium. After lunch, I went back to the Coke museum to sample all the Fanta, some 50 flavours. The food in my tummy ensures that I would not have an upset stomach after having sampled so many different pops. i recommend this museum to those who are Coke die hards, and also families with kids who will have a wild time in sampling the Fanta and taking the Disney like 4D ride.

“A great out of season visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

This attraction was a highlight of our visit to Atlanta. But so do out of season. The physical setup and the partly tour/partly do your own thing do not support throngs of people. Allow enough time to work through all the halls and read every bit of info on every wall. This is a gem and you could easily spend 3 hours there. We tried all the flavors in the tasting room. The secret is to drink very little.

“Disappointed with the new.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

This museum is geared toward the mystery of the formula for the world renowned Coke and it's target audience is young school age. Animated side shows and more mystery which culminates in seeing the vault where the formula is kept.

The only things really that are memory-makers are the gallery where you can try all 60 flavors at once, and the bottle of Coke that was produced on site that is given to each person upon departure. Can see most everything in 2 hours or less. Outside grounds are gorgeous and a nice place to relax.. Snack bar/fast food and drinks available just outside the museum.
